 A friendly welcome at this pleasant grassy site on the edge of the river along which it is possible to walk into the town.
Facilities were unisex and clean - very good and all indoors.
Free wifi flies.
We used the site for a break on our way south. Found the old town is interesting but a day in it enough.

Reviewers - mature couple with car, tent and bikes.
We have used this campsite several times now. It is on the outskirts of the town next to a tennis school, and backs onto the river. There is a gate onto the riverbank with a pleasant route into town, about 15 mins by bike.
The pitches are flat and grassy, mostly undivided. Some are shady. There are chalets at one end of the site, and a small playground. There may be a snack bar, but it has never been open.
There is 1 toilet block. It seems to be under refurbishment, has been so for the last 2 years, so is different every time we go. The facilities are currently shared. The showers have basins enclosed, and hand held sprays, but the water is usually hot. They also have heaters in these enclosures. The lights are on a timer and go out mid shower, but you have your own switch. Washing up is in the next room, very old facility, water not very hot. All the facilities need a good scrub, I think the workmen use them too. The facilities let down an otherwise pleasant site. Although they say there is a pool, there is no evidence of this now.
Plenty of shops and restaurants in town, worth a visit, nice riverside and park.
Moderate price, worth it as a stopover.
