This site is out the way which makes it nice & quiet. Steve & annie(the owners)couldn't have been better people.
On arrival we discoverd we had car trouble & they bent over backwards to help.
They took the van to the pitch for us, & even gave us a cup of tea.
They offered to take us shopping & even took me a local mechanic to have the car checked out. We managed to get the van home but they would have let us leave it there if we needed to.
The facilities were clean & they also recycle your rubbish. Will defo be going back as liked the peace & watching the wildlife.
At £15 pounds a night you can't go far wrong.

Just returned from a great, quiet break at this site. Despite it being a July weekend, the site was very quiet with only myself and one other unit on site.
The site itself is best described as a smallholding/garden type of site with basic, portacabin style toilets and shower. There are small areas of woodland within the site and free range chickens wandering around.
There is a shed at the entrance used as a reception with a selection of books, maps, eggs from the fore-mentioned chickens and ice creams for sale.
The owners are really nice and came round regularly to say hello, and also asked if I needed a hand setting up etc. The owners family live on the same area of land so there are people around, though not directly on the camp site area.
Harleston is a 3 mile walk away, on road but not too bad if sticking to the smaller roads. The town itself is charming for the most part, with many original old buildings, and interesting shops, including what looked like a new Co-Op.
I wanted a getaway, and this fitted the bill nicely. If you don't mind basic facilities, it's a superb base for cycling (which I didn't do, but wish I brought my bike). For walking, it's picturesque but not as accessible as some places, so be prepared to drive to go anywhere other than the immediate area. Southwold and Gorleston are not too far away for a nice day out.
I will return at some point (with a bike) I hope.
FYI the site is for CCC members only and is also an Adults only site.

What a beautiful site! Arriving on a laden bicycle after a long day we were shown a lovely pitch on the edge of a little wood. The lovely hot shower was only a few paces away as was the loos. A tap nearby and perfect peace!
A brilliant 'proper' campsite for those who want to get away from it all - and not be in serried ranks with lines and signs everywhere. !
Good little information hut which also sells ice-creams. Pub up the road.
Friendly owners and extremely reasonably priced. Who could ask for more?
So much to see in this gorgeous area of Suffolk and with Norfolk just nearby.
We will definitely return - hopefully in our camper rather than on bikes!

Visited this campsite over weekend of 17/18 June 2017.
Have not camped for some 30 years so the help and assistance offered was much appreciated.
The campsite facilities are all good quality - they now also have a large salt water swimming pool - and the local organic produce offered was very tasty!
My thanks to Annie and Steve for a truly great time.

Very warm welcome from the owners for whom nothing was too much trouble. This is a lovely secluded spot surrounded by fruit trees with chickens running about. The facilities were clean and simple. An excellent base from which to explore this unspoilt corner of Suffolk.
