A fantastic site on the banks of the river Sure. Very welcoming owner who offered us a lovely pitch by the river. Very clean amenities block with plenty of loos and individually heated shower cubicles. 'Stand under' hairdryers - didn't try them just used my own with adaptor.
Quite a few statics on this site but not many being used at moment - think they belong to Belgians who visit for summer months. Site was immaculate when we visited. There is a bar but we didn't use it and looked like not open all time as early in season. No food but perhaps again because low season.
Lovely short walk along river into small village of Esch sur Sure and lots of hiking trails in area - pick up a hiking map for €4. 50 in shop in cafe on river front.

What a gem!
Although it was raining when we arrived it was still a beautiful location in the valley surrounded by the river and trees.
We received a very friendly welcome, with the receptionist speaking great English. We were then directed to our spot - a lovely big level grassy pitch right by the river. Gorgeous. The closest loo block was just a couple minute walk away, though this one was very basic and unheated it was clean. The main block which also housed the washing up sinks and showers was much more comfortable and heated. There were about 5 or 6 showers, though there were only 2 tents on site queuing was never going to be an issue! The showers were hot and free, plenty of hooks and space to get changed. The ladies also had free hairdriers - a wonderful bonus.
We explored the town of Esch-sur-Sure, a short walk from the campsite. It was a lovely castle and watchtower which given an fantastic view of the pretty little town. It is small, and as we visited out of season just a handful places open - including a Cafe/ shop, Chinese restaurant, terrace bar, hotel with bar, snack bar and hotel with restaurant. We ate in the hotel in the centre one evening, it was excellent service and very good quality food. I discovered that Luxembourg wine is very good too!
Outside the village we walked to the National Park visitor centre, it was quite interesting, though the museum geered towards kids not grown ups with most of it being interactive. Then the dam, a few more minutes walk along the road is also worth a look. Because of the dam it's interesting to sit by the tent see the river current change directions when water is released!
A big supermarket, an Aldi, petrol stations etc are a short drive away in Pommerloch on the A15. There is a small shop on site, but unfortunatly closed when we wanted it.
Overall a gorgeous little site, I'd particularly recommend asking for a river pitch to make the most of it's location.
