We used this site as a base to visit Cologne. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the site is grass, a bit uneven in places but not a real problem. Shower and toilet block looks a bit dated from the outside but are nearly new inside and spotlessly clean. Toilets/showers and sinks with mirrors and plugs for razors etc. There is a bit of noise from the motorway bridge and the river barges but not to intrusive. Cross the bridge and the tram is e1. 90 to the city centre. Small shop within 5 mins walk from site. 2 nights was e44. 70 without ehu. Use again? Yes.

This is a great site close to Koln. On bike along by the river, takes about 15min, the owners are very helpful and also speak english, overall you cannot fault the site, right next to the river, if you require fresh bread you order it the day before toilets and showers are clean you cannot ask for anything more so if you visit Koln if you are in a motorhome caravan ore camping this site will accommodate all your needs. Don't forget to take a look at the bridge with the thousands of pad locks on by the cathedral.
Keep up the good work you all do you are highly recommended

The location of this site is great for visiting Cologne. Walking to the centre takes 45 minutes to an hour alongside the river or walk over the motorway bridge to catch a tram for €1. 90. There is traffic noise from the motorway and river barges run through the night but they didn't disturb, and I'm quite sensitive to that.
The facilities are good and well looked after, toilets and showers are upstairs and there is an open room underneath, housing washing up sinks, about six, two burner cookers for anyone to use and tables and benches to eat at. All very jolly. Caravans and tents are placed very close together and the site is not conducive for sitting out in the sun, there is lots of shade from trees as well.
The site owners are really friendly and helpful and warned us of the site getting very busy because of the GamesCom trade fair for computer gamers. It did get VERY busy and the site was split between the tents of those coming for the fair and those visiting Cologne. To be honest, the facilities couldn't cope.
I would recommend this site - with some reservations though - for a short stay of 1 or 2 nights specifically for visiting Cologne.

Toilet / shower block on first floor upsteps outside. Very good, nice and clean 50 cents for shower. Pitch on grass next to the Rhine -very good slight noise from boats on the river and motorway nearby. Electric hookup was 2pin euro connector. Shop/kiosk/ bar near entrance very good value. Fabulous location for walking into Cologne or cross the river about 1 mile walk and take a tram. Cologne is very nice, lot to do and see. Site staff very helpful. Weather in Germany for our 2 weeks was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend this site.

Spent two nights at this excellent site.
Location
Situated on the banks of the Rhine, the site makes an excellent base for touring the area and visiting the lovely city of Cologne. The city is worth a visit - lots of shops, places to visit and breweries where you can sample the local kolsh. Great cycling from the site.
Facilities
Modern and spotlessly clean and tidy facilities. The shower block was modern and there were plenty showers. There's a small bar and decent shop on site.
Value for Money
€20 per night, EHU and showers at a small extra cost.
Highly recommended!

We stayed here at the beginning of August in 2011. The location of the site is great - right on the waterfront. It's walkable into Cologne (although a long walk) but they do bicycle hire on site. We had to change ours a couple of times as they were in quite a bad state but we found a couple of good ones in the end. It takes about 20mins to cycle into town. There are a couple of decent little bars / restaurants near to the site as well if you don't want to make the journey into town. (Although the city is really great and we'd recommend it).
The campsite was pretty crowded. We'd tried to book online as we were going to a wedding and really wanted to make sure there was a space for us - but when we got there they were very offhand 'camp anywhere you find a space'. I would have concerns about fire risk with the closeness of some of the units. We also had problems when the toilet blocks were closed for cleaning and I hadn't noticed the sign in advance. The alternative is for the women to go into the mens which is a shower / toilet block. Maybe I'm too English but I really didn't want to go into a mens shower area and I really did need to go! They absolutely wouldn't open the disabled toilet which I sort of get but it would have been so nice if they could have been a bit more sympathetic. When they were open the facilities were great. There's a huge open potwash area with chairs and tables and books (English as well) which we really liked.
We totally loved Cologne, had glorious weather and really enjoyed the bike hire. It's only a 4 hr drive from Calais and it all felt quite easy, even for Euro-camping novices. MIxed feelings on the site at the end - it was just spoiled by the one incident really but I'm not sure we'd stay there again.
