This is one of the best CLs that we visit (and we have visited some 50+ in England and Wales). The spacious pitches all overlook, and have uninterrupted views, of the lakes. There are water points and EHUs at each pitch.
Until we visited this site we had not realised what fantastic sunsets you can see in this part of East Anglia. Here they are reflected in the lakes, which are also a haven for a wide variety of birds (we saw a Marsh Harrier this morning). Keith and Debra keep the site absolutely spotless. They have recently installed hardstandings on all pitches. They are large and constructed to a very high standard, but they have been designed in a way that does not compromised the 'natural' feel of the site. Following their installation, Keith and Debra have extended the opening dates of the site.
We cannot recommend this site highly enough.

If Carlsberg did CL sites !
Super site, Great owners, Quite tranquil looking forward to our next visit.
Spacious pitches all with electric hookup and water tap. No toilets or showers as yet although Keith the owner tells me this may change in the future.
View over the lakes fantastic at sun set. Fishing is quite hard, Do to the lakes only fished by residents so fish are very wary and shy, To me this is not a problem you just have to be patient but if you must pull a fish out every few minutes it might be to you.
Somersham Village about a mile away is nice with selection of small shops / pubs / takeaways etc.
Chatteris is 8 miles away is a bigger place with Petrol stations and supermarket.
The Old Bakery is great for lunch but get there early or book.

The best campsite I have ever had the pleasure to visit. We were given a warm welcome from the owner who quickly gave us a choice of pitch, we choose pitch number 1 although all the pitches face the lake and have brilliant views. Once we had set up we had a wander round the two beautiful lakes where there were two swans and a variety of other birds and wildlife. We have 2 dogs and they were very pleased to be able to have a swim in one of the lakes before we took them through to the pretty dog walk.
The site is very clean and you can tell that it has been planned with careful consideration for wildlife and a pleasing view for us caravanners. There are no showers or toilet block which gave us a chance to test the shower on our caravan - worked brilliantly, this certainly wouldn't put us off a site as good as this one. Its an adult only site and to be honest I think it wouldn't have the same appeal if there were children running around.
The site is only 10 mins away from home for us but it felt a million miles away - a little paradise. We'll definitely be returning very soon. Thank you to the owners for keeping the site simple yet stunningly beautiful. As I said on the questionnaire we were given the option to complete I would pay more than the £16 price if needs be! Loved it!

Excellent site, a real paradise. Very helpful and attentive owner. Fishing is sometimes difficult but that doesn't matter in these fantastic surroundings. Will look forward to a return visit soon.

Just returned from 2 night stay. Wow what a little gem. If you want a beautiful location with a very pleasant owner and are happy to use your own facilities this is the place. Shop (open till 10), garage, fish & chips, chinese and kebab shop all about 1 mile away. No cooking for me. Fishing lake for husband, difficult to catch but with 2 double figures in 2 days he was happy. Caravans overlook lake with uninterrupted view. Am already looking at when we can go again. If you want peace and quite this is fantastic.
