A very attractive site, well maintained grounds a credit to the owners. A separate, easily accessible hardstanding for three caravans with electric hook ups. Looking from the caravan windows are panoramic views of the glorious Devon countryside, especially to the east, with the sun rising over the deciduous woods early in the mornings. Washing up facilities adjacent to the nearby shower/toilet block, which consists of a single, large shower room/wc/hand basin per gender. Outside tap and waste facilities close to hand along with tackle shed. Pitch & putt course equipment supplied, large play area with swings etc. , for kiddies and a fenced off area containing hens, ducks, geese etc. , and two huge pet pigs. Fishing is £4 per day or £20 per week, with seven distinct lakes, three visible from the hardstanding with anglers having a bend in their rods most of the day from what I could see. Plenty of space to walk well behaved dogs. A very quiet, secluded location. Nearest pub is approx. 3 miles distant, beer and food reasonably priced. Local market at Hatherleigh 5 miles or so away on a Tuesday. On site WiFi not readily accessible unless you position yourself outside the reception area and piggyback off the 'house' system. Nearest supermarket was a Morrisons on the main road, just outside Bude, where during our visit a Lidl was being constructed on the opposite side of the road and I believe this is opening in late October 2015. To summarise a good, clean site with helpful owners, ample space for the young ones to 'let off steam' without spoiling the peace and tranquillity for others.

Beautiful, tranquil site. The camping area overlooks two of the lakes and is so peaceful and relaxing. The fishing pools are good and well kept, as are all the grounds. The owners were friendly and allowed our well behaved dog to be left off his lead although not allowed around the lakes when being fished for obvious reasons. We stayed for a week in July but would gladly have stayed longer. The surrounding area very isolated but even the roads are so quiet walking them is not a problem. The nearest pub was about 50 minutes walk as was the local shop. Bude the nearest seaside town at approx 40 minutes drive. The facilities on the site are basic but functional (2 toilets, 1 shower). Soap and toilet roll always available and cleaning equipment to wipe up the floor after shower. Adequate recycling/rubbish bins. Wouldn't hesitate to return and would recommend to anyone whether a fishing enthusiast or not.

We had our two week summer holiday at this site in our folding camper and had a great holiday.
Lovely grounds to the site (124 acres I think!) Had a terrific time, and the fishing on the 7 lakes was brilliant and very reasonable costs. There were woods to explore and there is a small area with a sandpit and climbing frame for kids. Lovely wildlife walk. About 20 minutes drive from Bude.
The owners were friendly and very helpful.
The site is mainly cottages and lodges for the anglers but has a small number of camping/caravan pitches with electric hook up included. Facilities for campers were very basic (one shower and two toilets with no hot water to the sinks and no washing up facility) but they charge a very realistic price and do not charge extra for things like gazebo's.
Would definitely visit again and would recommend this site, especially if you like fishing
