Great place. Good fishing. Emma, Mary, Dave friendly and helpful. Good food and prices.
Just had a two week holiday and booked for next year.
Good facilities for tent's and tourers. Electric hook ups. Statics old but spotless and plans in place for updating and adding to statics and fishing in near future.

What a great site, just don't follow Sat nav to get there! The roads it took us on would not fit a caravan down.
Once there thou WOW! Superb site, we arrived late but the shop & cafe was still open so while we where shown to our pitch we ordered 2 meals, walked back up & it was ready. Good wholesome food & good price. Everyone on site very helpful & friendly.
Pitch was good with the showers & toilet block near by, very clean all round. Next morning had 2 coffees before departing for a wedding. Would have loved to have stayed longer but only down for 2 days. Didn't get a chance to fish this time but we will be back to try next year. Took a different way out & much better.
Would highly recommend this site.

Just returned from a great bank holiday weekend at Luccombes. We arrived at 8:45pm, in the dark. David was there to welcome us and show us to our pitch, which was beautiful, overlooking Ash lake, not that we could see how beautiful it was until the next morning.
The site owners could not have been more welcoming. They are always available to help. The site shop is stocked with all you need for fishing the lakes and feeding your stomach. The first morning we decided on a bacon and egg roll which was brought down to the swim we were fishing. Service with a smile as throughout our stay. Fish and chips amongst other freshly cooked food was also on the menu.
The toilets and showers were spotless and made a change from other sites we have been to. The fishing was fantastic. All the lakes were in great condition due to the aeration systems they have installed, meaning the fish were all in good condition. And fish there were, I landed three carp up to 17 pounds in just a 2 hour early morning session.
I would recommend the site to anyone who is looking for a little peace and quiet in the Exeter area. Suffice to say that we have already booked our next trip to Luccombes in October.

I don't really know where to start. What a gem of a campsite. When we arrived the first thing the lady in reception made my wife and myself a cup of tea just what you need after a long journey. The caravan we had was clean and tidy.
There was loo paper, kitchen towel, washing up liquid, hand soap and a tea towel already there. The caravans are situated a very short walk away from the Lakes so you don't get disturbed by early morning anglers. There are electric hook ups showers waste disposal point and plenty of bins for household waste and dog waste.
The reception sell s fishing tackle and bait drinks hot and cold, snacks, you can also hire fishing tackle should you forget anything. The fishing is great there are no monsters I think the carp go to mid 20 but be warned I think they feed them rocket fuel there is the added bonus of catching a koi carp, all the fish that I caught were in excellent condition.
My description of this site does not do it justice for me and my family it was heaven, we can't thank the people at luccombes enough.

Stayed for a week, absolutely beautiful, peace quite country side fishery which the owners take pride in, friendly and helpful welcome,
escorted to pitch which is close to facilities, shower/toilet block immaculate,
fishing excellent and good priced, trusting site to leave tackle at side of bank to pop back for lunch,
close to M5 for easy find. Although pond sides did not seem too deep, care to be taken with children and a few more life buoys round would not go amiss.
Only down side was towing tourer down lane to get there, met traffic going and tractor /trailer coming out as very narrow.
Would definitely go again but probably stop in the statics

A lovely well kept site in a pretty location, the touring pitches and camping sections have good facilities for a small site.
The fishing lakes are well stocked and good catches were coming from all but the specimen lake 'Ash' while we were staying there, we had numerous carp on the pole from close in and I even had Bream up to 6lb.
The owners of the site are really lovely people who try to go the extra mile nothing was too much for them.
We stayed in a static for one week and to be quite frank it was very old as were the other 3 on the site and not the cleanest we have ever stayed in other people we spoke to had the same comments, on arrival we killed 18 spiders and cleaned out webs which adorned every corner of the caravan in fact we made a competition out of it and in total we killed 41 in a week. On the whole its a lovely site but the owners really do need to update the caravans and get in some decent cleaners.

Beautiful small site, excellent facilities and great fishing, staff were some of the most friendly and helpful we have ever met.
We only stopped one night each way on a trip to Cornwall, but if we hadn't have already booked the site in Cornwall, would have happily stayed here a lot longer, definitely be going again.
Little shop selling all the bait you need, liked the fact that you could night fish here too

A lovely site with excellent new (unheated) toilet/shower block - just take a mat if temperatures are sub zero like we had - Shower lovely & hot! Small and very quiet with easy access to main roads to visit Exeter & other parts of Devon.
Mixture of grass & hardstanding plus tent area. Hookups available. Very narrow lane for last mile so do observe rules about times to arrive to avoid meeting a caravan leaving! Nearest village with shop/pub about a mile on narrow unlit lane so transport is handy.
Very friendly staff. Very small children's play area but with the focus on fishing and expanses of open water it wouldn't be ideal for young children.
