 Want to keep this one quiet, but its excellent. Good value, very basic but just what we wanted. Great for walking, convenient for Corfe and Swanage. Bit slopey, but set up the van with no difficulty or ramps

Church Farm Campsite was well worth the near 800 miles round trip, it’s what camping is all about it’s a great base to explore The Isle of Purbeck and all of Dorset. The site has a WC and a sink for washing up (cold water only). There is a flat part of the site that is great for tents if you are going in a campervan or caravan please take some blocks as at the higher part of the site the views are fantastic, the whole site has spectacular views however it’s obvious the higher you are the more you can see.
The site offers areas of shelter too, the first couple of days we stayed the wind was strong but our tent canvas did not even flutter. At sunset the red sky silhouettes the church and the on site fish pond reflects the red sun as it sets behind the Purbeck Hills.
The Village is everything you would expect from a west country village, with its chocolate box cottages, with thatched roofs and floral gardens.
The village pub with its great food is only a five minute stroll from the site.
World famous Corfe Castle is less than two miles away, just a nice after dinner walk. Walking is something that a great many of the visitors to Church Farm Campsite take part in and who can blame them as the area is reknown for walking and cycling. Other places to visit on the doorstep are Kimmeridge Bay (famous for diving) and Lulworth Cove one of the jewels of the southern coast. Studland bay has a great beach with its well known naturist section, other resorts within a few minutes’ drive are Sandbanks, Poole, Bournmouth, Weymouth, and even closer is Swanage. However moving back to the site I can’t close before I mention the site owner, she is the sites main asset believe me anything that could go wrong on our holiday did go wrong, from faulty stoves to a broken tooth with everything in between and the owner was always there to help out and give advice. She visits the site two or three times a day to clean and check on the facilities, during these visits she always comes around to everyone for a quick and caring hello, the owner is a great host never intrusive but always there if you need her.
All I would like to say in conclusion if you like small sites this one has got to be for you ! its a great Idea to book at only £8 a night who can wonder that this little corner of Dorset is very popular, and has many returning visitors.
