We hired the campsite exclusively for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations. There were 18 of us staying, 2 couples stayed in their motorhomes in the carpark. The campsite was plenty big enough for us all. It is a beautiful site, so peaceful with great facilities. The little copse next to the field was ideal for keeping food cool(it was very hot when we were there. Lucky us!) and the wooden kitchen in there was fantastic for preparing food for us all. The compost toilet in the copse was very handy, very clean and surprisingly not smelly.

We had use of the yurt for the weekend and sat in there in the evening. It was a lovely atmosphere, very cozy as we'd put solar lights everywhere. The round table in there was ideal too.

The toilets and two showers were very clean and warm. They are in the car park but it is only 2 minutes walk down a very pretty path so it was no hardship.

The owner was an excellent host and very accommodating. The site is ideally placed, 5 minutes from Lampeter with a supermarket and shops, half an hour from beautiful beaches. We has a fantastic time and will definitely be back

We have had the whole site to ourselves and although it rained a lot, we loved it - and its location.

The facilities are great, there's a really useful kitchen area with a gas ring provided which makes cooking in the rain not a problem.

It's a tent/dorm-only site and the the car park is about 150 metres away screened from the site (there is a lovely big barrow to move your stuff to the site). You do feel very at one with nature! There's an amazing variety of bird and other wildlife. We loved watching the bats come out just after sun-down. There are lovely trails and walks in the area and wonderful views.

The round-house in the woods is so beautiful - an amazing space, quiet and peaceful.

We plan to come once more when spring has sprung.

Everything about the place is magical and the facilities are generous and appreciated. This is the best site we've aver stayed at by a long way!

We had a fantastical time at Denmark Farm. A secluded and personal stay. It was a privilege to stay amongst such wonderful beauty and have a little peace. Only down side, it rained most times so we could not fully appreciate the location. Very friendly bolt hole.

It would be a fantastic communal stay where a group of people could visit together and be secluded and just enjoy.

The facilities and car park are a bit of a distance from the site, but this is often the case when pitching a tent.

Not having traffic pouring into or past the site meant that it was quiet and felt more secluded than it actually was.

There are shops in Lampeter and good cafes but its still small enough to have local shops. We went out to Aberaron.

Fully enjoyed our peaceful time away from computers, tvs and screens - oh and paperwork.

Wow! The most perfect campsite we (two adults) have ever been too! Peaceful, beautiful countryside, with so much wildlife (bats, butterflies, birds (some of which I had never seen before!)), which all make the most amazing noises to fall asleep/wake up to! There is a lovely walk around the nature reserve too.

Loved the compost loos (one very close to the tent in the woods) and solar/rainwater showerblock, and the kitchen hut complete with gas stove (and whistling kettle!). We had glorious sunshine all weekend, but the hut would be very useful in inclement Welsh weather. Picnic benches save bringing table and chairs with you. We had the whole site to ourselves on a bank holiday weekend - amazing!

There is no pub within walking distance, but who needs a pub when you have such a beautiful campsite?! Lampeter is not far away and there is a butcher, a (mobile) fishmonger and a wholefood shop where you can buy provisions! A farm just down the road sells eggs at 80p for six. Aberearon is a beautiful seaside town just down the road (try the ice cream at the Hive - delicious!). I would also highly recommend the mountain bike trails near Brechfa. Absolutely awesome! On a previous visit to the area, we enjoyed the gold mines and Fantasy Farm Park (complete with bucking bronco!) - great for small and big kids (adults) alike!

Just one criticism: dog mess on the path leading to the campsite. The source of this is not the considerate campers and the walkers, but the King Charles spaniel living in the private house on site (seen 'in action' unfortunately). Hopefully a quiet word can be had with the owners to make negotiating the path with a wheelbarrow slightly less tricky.! Other than this, I cannot really think of any other reason to knock points off!

Thank you! We will be back, especially for the sunsets and solitude!

Lovely, quiet, inspiring setting to contemplate nature restoring itself! The grasses, trees (and horses) were good company. The walks around the reserve are the best I've found for identifying, watching and listening to birds (and insects).

I can now recognise the song of chaffinch, pied fly catcher, willow warbler and garden warbler; know how a great-spotted woodpecker flies; understand the bickering debate between buzzard and rooks; and identify a red kite (which flew right over the top of my head.)

There is so much diversity and abundance here, it restores my faith in nature's resilience and wisdom.

We stayed at Denmark Farm last weekend, and can highly recommend it for a peaceful break. We (2 mums and 3 pre-school children) enjoyed being able to relax without worrying about cars on site. The kids could just roam about the field and nearby woodland quite safely.

The kitchen shelter is great, a beautiful rustic wooden structure in the edge of the woods, providing a bit of shelter if necessary whilst setting up if it's rainy! Having young children, we really appreciated being able to do our cooking up at 'worktop' height rather than at child-level. There are picnic tables in the meadow too.

The slope on the site is very slight, we had no problem finding a pitch level enough for comfort. Likewise, the distance from the car is not a problem as they provide big barrows for transporting your kit, and any inconvenience is more than made up for by the pleasure of being well away from cars and traffic.

The toilets and showers are clean and pleasant, though the distance is a slight disadvantage with young children (too far/out of sight/ keypad lock means young children can't go alone).

It would be a nice site to go to with a group of friends and then hire the yurt between you (you can't sleep in it but can use it as communal space), especially maybe in the autumn when you can enjoy the wood-burner more.

We will be back.
