Please note we have been advised that this site no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches although the pub itself is still open.
If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

My husband, myself and our dog Charlie, found this site online whilst we were travelling around the West Country, I'm so glad we did.
It's basic and we put the caravan on the small field behind the pub, we were supposed to stay for 1 night but stayed 2.
It cost us £10 per night. We found it refreshing staying somewhere small and quite personal. There is an outside toilet should you wish to use it. We used the Fox and Hounds pub both nights and found the Landlady and staff really friendly, (one dog gets a biscuit, they all get a biscuit)! This was such a dog friendly place which suited us.
We ate there on the second night, the food was lovely.
I would definitely recommend this site if you have a dog,
But also if you're laid back and like to socialise.

I visited this site at short notice but being out of season there was no problem. I was offered a pitch either in the field behind the pub or in the car park and given the recent wet weather I opted for the car park. The electrical hook-up was about 5 yds away and the water about 15. The listing says there's a WC but it must be the one in the pub as I didn't see any outside and none were pointed out. Ergo, WC available only when the pub is open, which is not all day.
I found the managers to be very friendly and helpful. They keep a good cellar with three excellent Wadworths beers on tap. There are separate menus for lunch and dinner and also for Ladies nights on Thursdays and a Sunday Roast. The food is homemade and excellent, try the 'Real' pies which have a pastry top & bottom, not some hotpot with a puff pastry lid!
Dogs are welcome and even have their own spot on the menu and big jar of biscuits on the bar. Deb & Justin have 2 rescue Great Danes so understand dogs.
So, the facilities are basic but for £10 a night I wasn't complaining. Food & Beer are good and there are plenty of places to walk the dog. I wasn't really interested in the local sites on this trip so to be honest didn't pay much attention.
I would say that if you're in the area, stay over or at least call in and sample the hospitality.
