Lovely top field view, perfect tent location for myself and dog. Lovely friendly campsite and so close to the a lovely beach and dog walks.
Would highly recommend and will be returning for sure just what I wanted. Thank you.

So we stayed at this site a couple of weeks back on a last min long weekend away.
I should start by saying I’m quite picky when it comes to campsites. Our stay was absolutely brilliant. I was a little daunted as we arrived and past the adjacent campsite however do not let this deter you!.
We stayed in the top field which is a mix of seasonal pitches and tourers like ourselves. It’s a small field with the caravan pitches around the outside and a small shower and toilet block in the corner of the field.
The toilet and shower block was immaculate and remained that way throughout our visit. Even with the changeable weather. The showers take 50p however they are decent showers and the time was ample.
The centre of the field is now left open as I understand once upon a time they booked tents into the middle however this is no longer the case. This was fantastic the field itself is very family oriented with the seasonal vans that are there and the field being open meant that the kids could run freely and play with all the others within view of all the vans staying. It was really nice and everyone was really friendly.
The site itself is a short walk to polzeath taking about 15 mins with the kids and there are several routes taking you to the town or beach.
Now I’d like to make a special reference to Sue and Rick that run the site. They are amazing! Nothing is to much trouble at all no matter what the time. We had an issue with our gas and Rick was straight up to help us out of hours. Booking was easy sue is really helpful and polite.
It’s also worth noting that in a time where some campsites try and rip you off charging over the odds and crazy money to add a child for the night awning and anything else they can charge you for making the cost equal to a hotel room. This site does not it’s honest you pay for your pitch and that’s that.
We re not much fir seasonal pitches as we prefer to try new places but this place has something about it and it was enough for us to enquire about a seasonal pitch.
We would go back here without thinking twice.

Had a quick 1 night stay as it's 45 mins from home. Great site, great location really friendly staff. I don't understand some previous reviews. It's clean, tidy and quiet Go and you will love it. It's only a 7 min walk to the beach. Dogs not allowed after Easter but plenty of walks and beaches not far away.

Lundynant Caravan site is a place my family visit year after year. The friendly helpful staff keep the site clean and maintained. You wont find a pool or entertainment at this site but what you do get is a peaceful place to unwind with easy access to Polzeath beach and some good walks to Pentire point and the rumps.
We have stayed in statics and taken a tourer caravan here over the years.
Wake in the morning to sit out in sun and the birds chirping, a walk to the beach takes about 8 minutes where you can find a great beach and awesome surf. The site is a great place to chill. The facilities are some might say basic but they are kept clean and tidy.
If you are looking to find a peaceful site close to a great surfing beach look no further.

On arrival we were directed to our pitch which was near to the entrance to the path to the beach and it was of adequate size. The manager came round to check we were ok which was a nice touch. The site is in a good position for Polzeath beach, just about a 10 minute walk.
But the facilities were not good. We had to wash up at the tent using boiled water as the water at the 1 washing up sink was tepid and we had to queue for the sink. The toilet and shower blocks really need knocking down and rebuilding. They are very old and just basic sheds really. You have to put 20p into a meter to get half a shower and then go out of the shower to put another 20p in to finish the shower. The pipes that go outside for waste water are full of Green slimy stuff that doesn't look pleasant. Considering the state of the shower and toilet blocks they were kept fairly clean but I had to complain once when the floors were very wet and dirty. They were better after that.
As someone else said you get what you pay for and this site was cheap compared to most others in Polzeath but I would rather pay more and have good clean healthy looking facilities.

We are returning visitors to this site, year after year. We normally come May bank holiday and August. The site is basic, but close to the beach and great value for money in this popular resort. The facilities for campers and caravans are basic, but the statics are excellent. We always find that you get what you pay for. Request a relatively new static, it will cost more but that's a choice you take. There are no playground facilities, this is a quiet site for families who prefer to BBQ and chill out, while the children play in the safety of the site confines. There is no pool, but Polzeath beach is simply stunning and a 5 min walk from the lower end of the site. No dogs on the beach in summer.
Our son has made lots of friends who he looks forward to seeing each time we visit, as it appears to be a site popular for returning families, indeed I holidayed here myself as a child and that was a long time ago.
We are booked for 2013 and thoroughly looking forward to it. We have stayed at the other sites in Polzeath, but this is cheaper and quieter. Suits our requirements to a tee.

My husband and I have just returned from Lundynant having spent 6 nights there. We had originally booked and paid for 7 nights but in a desparate attempt to get some sleep we decided to call it a day on the 6th night and go somewhere else. Lundynant is a small site of mainly static caravans (some privately owned) and seasonal tourers with about a dozen or so pitches for tents and touring caravans. The site was full at the time of our stay and certainly felt like it. The pitches are on the small side. Some of the pitches are slightly sloping but a few of the small ones are more or less level.
The facilities are very basic and not the cleanest I have ever experienced. It's the sort of place where you keep your flip flops on in the shower. There is a charge of 20 pence for a reasonable shower. Although the site was full you didn't queue for more than a few minutes if at all at the busiest times. There is one sink for dishwashing and charge of 20 pence for 'hot' water. The water was barely above ambient temperature each time I used it and on one occasion was actually stone cold.
We booked this site because it does not have a club or entertainment therefore we assumed it would be reasonably quiet. But we were wrong. One of the positives about this site is its proximity to Polzeath village and it's beach being just a ten minute walk away. However, this meant that with the exception of one night out of the six we were woke up at about 2am by late night revellers shouting, screaming, effing and jeffing. Some of the disturbance was from people staying in the privately owned statics on the site but the majority was made by people using the public footpath that runs alongside the site, used by people staying at the Robbie Loves and Trennant site up the road. Lundynant also backs onto the Polzeath Beach Holiday Park so we were also kept awake by their visitors.
So in summary the positives are:
The site is probably one of the most sheltered in this area so is great when the weather is not so good.
It is within walking distance to Polzeath.
Pleasant staff.
Negatives:
Basic facilities.
Small pitches.
Late night noise from site and surrounding area.
Grounds aren't particularly attractive. There is a 'duck pond' with a six foot high metal fence around it that is overgrown and a bit of an eyesore.
Not very good value for money.
