A very rural site, very tranquil in a field behind a barn. The farmer also offers caravan storage within other parts of the farm as well as wigwam holiday.
Very easy access to long walks from the site which we did not take though did look lovely.
We explored Belton Hall instead, a great pile to visit and takes up a whole day, fun day out for all the family.
We did not explore the local restaurants, only the village Londis and petrol station.
Access to the site can be daunting as it seems never ending, part of its isolation charm and the tranquillity.
Electric hook up was available to each pitch. We were only passing through but it met our needs perfectly.
The owner was very pleasant and price realistic.

A lovely site on a farm, great views and some great walks.
A site that is well worth a visit, a short walk to the village and a lovely pub.
Parked next to the field of lambs which was most amusing to watch.

A nice little site with well drained ground, only a small muddy patch at the entrance, amazing after the huge amounts of rain. Easy to find, the 2nd left in Barkston off the main road.
The owner was very busy with lambing; phone him if you need him and he will respond quickly. The price is still £12 per night, very good.
We were lucky to have several days of good weather, aka British summer and enjoyed walks down to the river. Nice views over the fields.
The wigwams (actually pods) looked good from the outside.

We have now been a few times to this gem of a site.
Easy access to site through the lovely village of Barkston with a lovely dog friendly pub (just a short walk away from the site!)
Very slightly sloping field with beautiful all round views.
Really friendly helpful owners who have on the site an information hut which they have put copies of walks etc of the area, this was really helpful.
Beautiful area to visit and an abundance of walks from the site.
Very dog friendly.
We have, and shall continue to, return here many more times.

Located about a mile from the village of Barkston along a single lane that, for the last 100 metres forks left onto a rough track. As you drive onto this track, you’ll be able to see the caravan storage and further, next to the farmhouse, the caravan site.
This spacious 5 caravan only site, which is simply fenced off from an existing field, is accessed through a narrow entrance next to a barn, just before the farmhouse. Also next to the entrance, is a covered hole that is the chemical toilet.
Electric hook-up points are placed around the boundary fence and there is one drinking water tap against the barn back. We pointed our caravan looking out onto the field and could see the grounds of Belton Hall near by. A river runs close by the farmhouse and can be walked along side for a pleasant evening stroll.
A regional railway track runs near by but is not intrusive; we never heard it during the night. In the village of Barkston there is a petrol station with some groceries and a good pub too. The Grantham branches of Sainsburys and ASDA are few miles down the road as well as other local stores.
National Trust’s Belton House and its large adventure playground are within a miles of the site and is well worth a visit. Further afield, Tattershall Castle and RAF Coningsby, which houses the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Grantham and Woolthorpe Manor, the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton.
