What a fabulous find!
We needed to be near Brightlingsea and this came up as an option and didn’t disappoint x great pitch friendly helpful staff and immaculate facilities ☺️
No issues at all and owner/ manager, very accommodating 👍
We definitely be back for a longer stay
Highly recommended 🌟

Good location close to beaches
Inadequate facilities and repairs not carried out during our stay- heavy rain over first two days led to chemical waste and water points overflowing constantly for rest of week.
Numbers on site doubled from previous year but no extra toilets, no demarcation between pitches, grass not cut.
Skips for rubbish overflowing for days. Owner charming but not proactive.
Our daughter and family paid £30 per night for their tent with no electricity and shared 4 toilets and two showers with 50+ (?) tents/caravans.
We won’t be returning.

We usually stay near Marks Tey but as we have friends nearby we sullected this site. Very friendly man answered the phone and we booked. No one around when we arrived on the Thursday but we chose a pitch not far from the water and elsan which are really good.
A family arrived on the Friday evening until the Sunday when the owner arrived. A nice friendly man who went to cut the grass. He apologised for it bring long but it wasn't that bad to be honest. Lovely quiet site with 3 horses in the next field. The site seems miles from anywhere but in fact its not far from Clacton or St Osth.
Can recommend the Blue Sari just down the road and The Bowling Green which is on the roundabout where you turn off to Weeley. Nice places to eat. Low score on facilities but due to there being non but there was talk if pods and toilets being built in the future. Child friendliness also difficult but if your kiddies love being outside playing in the fresh air then it's great for them too.
We will be back again when in the area as we have been given 2 nights free due my husband mending the owners lawn mower. We won't forget lol

I phoned this campsite on route, and the man who answered the phone very helpful and jolly, saying no problem and had spaces, lived on site so no problem on arrival times. We were looking in this particular area, as we were on a business trip. (All the other camp sites I rang did not answer the phone, I left messages and no one got back to me, so very grateful that the phone was answered. )
When we arrived I rang owner who told us we could park anywhere and he would come out to us, which he did. The site is a nice flat field, with electric hook up and water and waste facilities.
Very reasonable £11. The man gave us useful information about restaurant down the road which was a lovely Indian restaurant, called blue sari ( would recommend) we set up then went for meal which was great and only a short walk away. We only stopped one night, very quite nice site if you don't need other facilities ie. Toilets. Showers We have a small camper with toilet, shower, cooking and washing up facilities so quite self sufficient.
