Basic farm site, Extremely clean with stunning views over Carsington Water which is a 5 minute walk away.
Just Water point and Elsan point on site which the price reflects. £10/night. (it is £5-00 to park at Carsington Water over 2 hours)
Pub also a short walk away.
Definitely great value.
Noise kept to a minimum after 9pm so great for families 😀

What an excellent find. We only stayed for two nights. We saw Amy who was actually on the camping field when we arrived. She was most helpful. They only have toilet waste disposal and a fresh water tap. No toilets or showers so you have to be self contained. Couple of fields to choose from and they also have a rally field across the road. Very reasonably priced and good views of Carsington Water. Thank you Amy for getting eggs for us and we wish you and Paul a great wedding day on the 28th July 2018. Camp site within 10 mins. Walk to the lake and also The Knockerdown Inn for good food.

Great back to basics site with only water & chemical disposal point so note there's no bins for rubbish so you need to take your rubbish away with you. Cost £6 per unit! Fab! Grass was acceptably short enough. Room for kids to play ball games in middle of field. We pitched on sloped lower field which had more space. We had a great time. Will definitely return to this site for sunny weekend getaways.

I stayed with my grandson for three nights midweek. There is a field for rallies. We stayed on a field where you don't have to be club members. A good basic site.
Drinking water and chemical disposal point. Friendly easy going owner.
The site is in a good location for the visitors centre at Carsington Water and also a short distance to the Knockerdown pub.
A little noisy through the night from traffic but otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. We phoned on the thursday and arrived on the sat to a massive field full of people some who came from scotland! we set up and within minutes were surrounded by happy joyfull children then we went to the pub which was about 100 yards away and had a great night with the locals from ashbourne and bakewell then the following morning we were up at 6 with the next door neighbours. For a full english! some of the nicest people we have ever met had a great time. Must go.

A great site with the best views of carsington water.
A very friendly & quiet site with clean fresh drinking Water & Chemical disposal point, it is only a two minute walk from Carsington Water visitor centre, where you can enjoy its many water sports and walks,
Also its in walking distance of 3 good pubs, if you don't fancy driving there is a regular bus service to Ashbourne, Matlock and further a field that passes the gate.
The site is close to many local attractions, such as Chatsworth House, Alton Towers and much more.
At only £5.00 per night per unit and no hidden charges its a real bargain I will be back very soon. Well worth a visit

This is a lovely site with fabulous views of the lake on a working farm, with Plenty of space, we have been back twice now.
Fresh water and CDP, and very close to the visitors centre and pub, within walking distance. We visited over bank holidays and there was plenty of room and it wasn't noisy either. My son and the two kids came and loved it, they had a tent right next to us in our campervan, and we could park his car next to the tent no problems. Site owner is very friendly too. There were baby lambs that the children were very keen on too.
