Roebuck farm is a lovely, peaceful and relaxed site.
Yes it is basic; the toilets and showers are portable, but they were kept clean and stocked with toilet paper. There is a tap for water and facilities for washing up. What more do you need?
The camping field was clean and tidy, and surrounded by trees and walks, there's a small lake/large pond to relax around, or let the dogs play in. The owners were friendly and welcoming.
The site is in a perfect spot to visit Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, and Kimmeridge Beach. With Weymouth, Poole, Swanage and Bournemouth all near by within about 1/2 an hours drive.
We had such a good time we extended our trip and would like to visit again next year.

Lovely part of the Purbecks. We like rural basic sites and this one is rural but too basic.
Portable loos and portable showers are not pleasant at the best of times and on a busy weekend like this they are not nice to use.
Plenty of campers so something must be right but for us it is expensive and we know loads of other great quiet well equipped rural sites.
Hope your stay is more to your liking.

My stay here was really bad, I like to stay at quiet basic campsites that are peaceful, this site is the lowest end of basic.
The grass was dead and not cared for, 2 portable loos for the whole site (shared not male or female) and 1 portable shower, 1 washing up area that was basic bordering on dirty.
The owner was a very nice polite lady but does not seem to know how to run an efficient site. We arrived back from a trip out one day to find what looked like dog urine up 2 sides of our tent, the next morning this was confirmed as 2 of the owners dogs ran in our tents direction and came sniffing round bushes and our tent looking for a place to go pee!
Sadly we cut our holiday short and left this site. Beautiful area just spoiled by this site.

The campsite is a truely beautiful site, very peaceful and serene, with lovely views and interesting animals surrounding! The owners were helpful and and quick to deliver wood etc for the campfire. What really spoilt our family camping trip to Roebuck Farm was the shocking state of the toilets.
The portable toilets were broken, meaning that on each visit you got a good look at the last few visitors deposits. This created a terrible smell as well as attracting flies to the toilets. The toilets and showers were kept fairly clean other than this but on a busy bank holiday weekend I would have expected a great deal more in terms of sanitation - as I have expected and received at every other campsite I've visited as recommended by this site.

Although the facilities may be basic; the informal, friendly and relaxed ethos really suited us. Secluded field surrounded by trees and woodland walks, beautiful animals and even a little bench to sit by the mini lake, who could ask for more.
Your a little undiscovered gem, hidden in a perfect location in a beautiful county. It would be great if you opened up to club meets through the year, I'm sure they would love it!
We had wonderful days out including a trip to Monkey World only 5 minutes down the road and a day trip out travelling from Wareham to Weymouth with a stop off at Lulworth Cove which is not to be missed.
We look forward to visiting you again, shame we have to wait til next August!
