Visited here for one night, 2 adults 2 children 7 and 9 the facilities are very basic, just one toilet, a drinking water tap and a toilet disposal area.

The field is very large and on the weekend we went only had one other tent. This maybe due to the basic facilities. We found the site easy to find and very convenient to local facilities.

The welcome was good and friendly they showed us to the field, then their son came buy a little later to take the money. Apart from that didn't see them.

The small village of loose is about a 20 minute walk on a public footpath walking through fields with sheep grazing. The village has a nice pub(beware they were shutting for the afternoon at 3pm on a Saturday) Also has a shop and is very picturesque.

We were happy with the site and the very reasonable £10 for the pitch for the night.

The negatives we found were that having asked about wood for the fire they said they had ran out so had to drive around looking for wood, which took about an hour (and we are local to maidstone so know the area well) the only reasonable priced place we could find was Notcutts a local garden centre, even then they were £7 a bag which most places charge 4 or 5 pounds so was expensive.

Also the land was very tough due to being in an old cherry orchard and when pitching bent a lot of our pegs so if you have them use stronger pegs.

The children's play area looks like an ex local authority play area which would be good for younger children, however was not secured to the ground so could be a little ricketty at times but the children loved playing in the fields collecting firewood, and playing football and cricket, ect

Overall had a good stay and will come back after all you don't need a shower just for a 1 night break.

So nice to find a basic, no frills site that allows fires and dogs. This site is new and there was only one other tent when we camped there. We were a bit worried as they were a group of teenagers who were using petrol in their fire pit with explosive results, but apart from that they were no trouble.

The only toilet was clean and adequate but no basin. The owners are really friendly and down to earth, and they are obviously making efforts to improve the site. We spoke to several members of the family who all made us welcome.

They don't have many rules but as they are close by I am sure they keep a good eye on things. They have several lovely Jack Russels that tear around the place, and will come and sit with you at your tent for a fuss. They were no bother and were fine with our dog.

The site is next to a cherry orchard. When we were there loud bird scarer's went off every now and then which were very noisy (daytimes only) but we did get used to them. They're only used during cherry season (June).

It's child friendly with a small toddler climbing frame and a big field for older kids to play in. In summary - if you're looking for a peaceful family site with basic facilities and bonfires then this site is for you.

I only hope the owners keep it small when it becomes more popular as part of the charm is the feeling of space and peace.

Firstly I would like to thank the owners for coming and finding us and taking us to the site, the welcome was truly friendly !

A pleasant surprise was to find a mini playground which my children loved and also made a great friend !

The toilet was obviously a toilet and a luxury compared to a porta potty!

As this is their first season I'm eager to return to see what else they can achieve so quickly, in fact I am booking to go again for two weeks in the summer holidays !

We stayed in a tent, everyone was laid back and the owners were kind enough to pop back just to check we were ok, above and beyond their duties I'm sure you'd agree !

On our first night we did try having a fire which you can have in the drums provided but I wasn't really too good at this and swore id never try again.

The site was nice and peaceful with no local noise, with beautiful cherry trees, I say cherry enlarged as I originally thought they were apple trees !.Which when they grow the owners sell, and if the amount of blossom is anything to go by then the fruit will be lovely !

There is no electric hook up, but personally camping to me shouldn't have luxury's like tvs etc. Torches and candles with my little camping stove wins every time !

Locally there is a pub (which we didn't visit), a few shops including a chemist !.There is also a tesco and aldi not too far !

As I've previously said I will be returning for two weeks in the summer holidays and I have already recommended this site to my friends and family ! The owners are planning on building a shower block in the very near future, which I cant wait for ! and picnic tables.

There is also a chemical toilet disposal point, drinking water, toilet and small children's play area.Plenty of field to run around in to !

There was no arrival time or leaving time and we was never rushed, which was great !

Again thank you to the site owners for making us feel so welcome !!
