Excellent site close to the city centre.
Pitches on the small side, but to be expected given the location.
Facilities are clean, and very well organised, and surprisingly quiet.
As always for the Netherlands, it's easy and safe to cycle into the centre (wonderful bike lanes all the way (circa 6 miles) and this is the best way to explore, although you can easily get the tram.
Nice bar/restaurant on site.

Like the setting of this site on the edge of suburbia, surrounded by wetlands and river, outdoor swimming pool nearby,
Next to tram station, travel into Amsterdam by tram or bike,
Facilities bright and clean, bike and canoe hire available, brand new bikes, also extending hard standing pitches for caravans and motorhomes this year,
£30 a night high season is a fair price for Amsterdam accommodation, site full in March which says a lot

Fabulous campsite. On first view we thought it was some kind of typical student/ festival campsite. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Yes there are hordes of closely parked tents inhabited by young adults but the motorhome and caravan bays we well defined and organised. The staff on reception were very polite and helpful. The facilities are excellent, toilets and showers were clean and well kept. They could use a couple of water scrapers to keep the floors a little cleaner in the shower areas. Washing machines were available and looked very new. The little shop was comprehensive and stocked everything needed. The bar/ restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed a really nice meal which was not overly expensive. There is also a very large garden area outside. Bicycle and kayak hire is on site also very reasonable rates. There is also small beach. There was no noise after 10 at all and the staff are are very vigilant with regards to guests adhering to the rules. They will not tolerate loose dogs fouling or damage to property. Wifi was generally very good but can be a bit weak on the pitches on occasions. Other accommodation on site includes eco houses and wagon eyes, very cute.
Bicycles are predominantly the method of transport however we used the trams daily. They were regular and cost €12. 50 for a 48 hour ticket. Obviously Amsterdam is the main reason that people stay here and it can't be faulted. An amazing city with so much to do. Boat tours, bicycle taxis and guided tours are available if required. Alcohol is more expensive the closer to the tourist you get so have a good look around at the bars and restaurants first. Will definitely be going again.

My husband and I chose this site due to its close proximity to Amsterdam. In this regard the site is very good. It is also situated in a scenic area, close to the water. However, we found some negatives. The caravan pitches are on the small side; our pitch was on the end of a 'bay' and getting the caravan in and out was difficult. The facility block nearest to us was dirty and smelly unless you visited soon after it was cleaned, which it was twice a day. Also, this block only had two single toilets and 6 single shower rooms around the building - no basins for handwashing. There were sinks for pot washing attached to this block but, inevitably, these were used for washing hands. Not particularly hygienic. Other facility blocks were of the traditional type and did include hand basins. It wasn't noisy and the restaurant seemed OK, but we wouldn't return.

This campsite is located as close as its possible to a capital city. We hired bikes from the site and was in the centre within 15 minutes. We visited with a motorhome and with 3 children aged 17, 15 and 12 and they all really liked the younger feel to the place. The Reception is run by younger people and has a hippy feel to it, indeed the whole place has a hippy feel to it. The Reception has a well stocked shop and small cafe within it and was always buzzing with activity, the on site bar and restaurant were similarly buzzing with activity. The toilets and showers were always clean and tidy and required a token for 80 Cents to operate them, available from the Reception. If the Reception was closed they were available in a vending machine that also sold fizzy drinks, chocolate and condoms. The motorhome pitch we had was close to the Reception and toilet area and we were undisturbed in the night. I really would not like to camp here because the tents were that close together it was like being at a festival, but this reflects the younger feel to the place. The on site bike hire was excellent and it cost us 55 Euros to hire 5 adult sized bikes for 24 hours complete with locks and everything we needed. Hiring bikes and cycling to the centre is a must. We found Amsterdam reasonably priced and enjoyed the two days we had there. We stayed in late August and the cost was 96 Euros for two nights with hook up.

Very handy spot close to the centre of Amsterdam but the walk to the tram is about 7 minutes. Tram is just a few stops to central. Restaurant was gutted when we were here for reno's. A younger crowd, lots of campers. Showers were hot cold hot cold. Also not many restaurants close by, we ate in town and trammed home after eating. Office staff very helpful and shop has basics including fresh bread if ordered the day before and also some pastries. Wifi is free at the office. Would stay again despite the hot water issues as it is so close to the city.

We really liked the site for a short trip to Amsterdam.
Good access to trams over stairs and a bridge, in just a few hundred meters distance.
Considering the road nearby, it's surprisingly quiet at night.
The staff was very helpful and friendly; WiFi access is OK and for free.
Not so nice was the cleanliness of the toilet/shower block. We avoided to use them as good as possible. The just one block with 5 showers was overstrained.
All in all: Would definitely return, but not for a longer stay.

Camping Zeeburg is situated very close to the centre of Amsterdam. There are tram links to Amsterdam which run frequently during the day and there is also a night tram service.
The closest tram terminal is approximately about 800metres from the campsite. If you are disabled it would be advisable to use the car to drive to the Park and Ride site, again a distance of approx 1km.
For small tents it appears that you find a patch of browny/greeny soil, sling up your tent in any available space and camp. During the summer months it is tight for space, and appears more like a controlled 'Shelter Box' scheme for disaster relief.
Used by youngsters predominately the site has limited showers and toilets, there are no soap dispensers for hand washing. Surprisingly despite the amount of tents and campers in them by 2200hrs it goes quiet. There is a shop, restaurant, 0n site. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
For Large tents/caravans/trailer tents, there is adequate space with electricity and these areas are separate from the tentage area.
All in all a reasonable and cheapy site for a few days stay, if you are visiting Amsterdam. As an aside Dam square is wheree the shops are No 14 Tram. Central Station Water tours No. 26 Tram
