2008 sees Towsure's 41st anniversary and of course their roots lie in production of Towbars and Towing accessories.

From their early beginnings, they have developed a reputation for producing high quality towbars at affordable prices. Fully supporting the introduction of the EC94/20 legislation covering the design and manufacture of towbars and couplings, they have once again pressed forward with the introduction of their dedicated wiring kits – towing electrics designed to integrate seamlessly with your vehicle's own electronic systems and to work with TSP – Towing Stability Programs – which are incorporated into many modern vehicles.

Newly launched are the UB11 Hazard and Wizard – The Wizard improves safety in poor lighting conditions by cutting off the towcar's foglight or reversing lights to eliminate reflected glare from the front of your caravan, and parking sensors whilst towing. The Hazard greatly improves safety and visibility whilst manoevering, using the caravan's own 12 volt system to illuminate marker lights and/or hazard lights whilst parked on the roadside or being manually manoevered.

Once your towing bracket is installed, before you can set off, there are other vital accessories you will require. Towing mirrors are a legal necessity, whilst a quality caravan stabiliser reduces the risk of the dreaded “snaking” of your outfit. You can also find other safety items, many of which are a legal requirement abroad, such as first aid kits and breakdown triangles

Being at the forefront of towing design for 40 years, all of Towsures brackets are designed in-house at their purpose built design and testing facility. Their design team communicate with vehicle manufacturers to establish specific towbar mounting points and capacities, whilst their manufacturing centre has 3 specially designed towbar testing rigs with computerised test data analysis, to ensure that their EC Approved brackets meet or exceed all necessary requirements.

The final product of their extensive design, testing and manufacturing process comes to you finished in a quality coat of primer, ready to fit or to finish with your preferred choice of top coat. Their towbars are supplied as traditional flanged towbars to accept your preferred choice of towball (not included) and accessories such as cycle carriers or stabilisers.

The Towsure TEC (Towsure Eclipse Coupling) system is available as an upgrade option for most new Towsure towing brackets, either when fitting the towbar, or even as a later upgrade (to compatible towbars only – the TEC detachable option is available for all towbars highlighted in yellow on their website).

When required, the detachable towball is easily fitted in seconds with no tools required. The secure three point fixing with no hidden springs or clips gives freedom from any doubt that the towball is attached safely and securely. The unique bayonet fitting design helps to prevent theft or deliberate uncoupling of the coupled trailer or caravan. The detachable neck is impossible to remove without twisting the ball by 45 degrees – a near impossible task with a laden trailer or caravan coupled. The neck stays attached to the car – without fiddly locks and keys.
