Milenco Wheelclamp - Our Thoughts!

Having previously used other heavy and awkward wheelclamps, I was pleased to find the Milenco is very light and were easily moved by my children, helping to test the clamps. That this has been acheived without reducing the strength and effectiveness is a big bonus.

The wheel clamps come in three easy to fit parts, firstly slide the hooked park (middle part in the picture to the left) over the wheel. I found that I had to remove the hubcap, it would have fitted by leaving the hubcap on but I didn't fancy the chance of it getting scratched. Next came the part on the left of the picture which slid easily into the top section, the key was then needed at this point to release the locking mechanism enabling me to slide in part three (left part of the picture), a quick turn of the key and it was all locked up and the key was removed.  I found the wheel clamp sat snuggly against the wheel with very little movement.

Once I was hitched up and ready to go, I needed somewhere to put the three parts of the wheel clamp, at first I thought I had no chance of getting them in the boot, what with a weekends worth of kit bulging at the seems, but a little sensible re-packing later and I managed to slot in each section neatly and securely. Alternatively you could of course put them in the caravan, or trailer tent, depending on how much weight you already have!

The ML1 is designed to fit wheel sizes 165 R13, 175 R13, 175/70 R14, 185/70 R13, 185/65 R14.
The ML2 is designed to fit wheel sizes 185 R13, 175 R14, 185 R14, 195/70 R14, 195/70 R15, 205/65 R15.

Overall these are a great lightweight, easy to fit and fairly easy to carry (even with a boot full) wheel clamp. They are nice and bright alerting any wannabe thief that you have a good security device fitted and you can feel comfortable leaving your unit in the knowledge it is insurance approved.
