We are currently full for tent bookings in August.
We are a privately owned Caravan Park and Campsite situated 200 feet above the sea level of Criccieth, with far reaching views across Cardigan Bay.
The site caters for privately owned Lodges and Statics. Touring Caravan, Motorhome and Camper van pitches are available with hook-ups and a limited amount of pitches for tents with or without hook-ups are available.
Two Modern Shower Blocks, on site Laundry and Washing up facilities and full recycling available. Childrens play area (currently closed due to restrictions). Well behaved pets welcome (maximum of two).
Approximately 3 miles from the popular town of Porthmadog and 1 mile from the seaside resort of Criccieth makes Mynydd Du an ideal central location for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula.
*Touring pitches are fully serviced with hardstanding or grass available which includes water/electric and awning.

Nearby Attractions
Porthmadog is home to the Ffestiniog Steam Railway and Welsh Highland Railway, the world famous Italianate Village, Port Meirion is just 15 minutes drive away. Black Rock Sands at Morfa Bychan is just 20 minutes drive and boasts 2 miles of beautiful beach and sand dunes. Ideal for watersport enthusiasts.
Criccieth with its imposing castle has a variety of small shops, restaurants and pubs.
The harbour town of Pwllheli is just 10miles, with its marina, a variety of shops and open air market on Wednesday/Sunday. Boat trips across the bay to see the Whales & Dolphins are available during the summer season.
The Osprey breeding centre is also within a 30 minute drive
Golf and fishing are both within a 10 minute drive.

Owner Directions
Leave the A55 at junction 9, then at roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A487 for Caernarfon continue through Caernarfon following the A487 to Porthmadog. Travel through Bontnewydd, Pant Glas and Bryncir. When leaving Bryncir turn right signposted Criccieth. After approximately 4 miles enter Criccieth. At the crossroads turn left towards Porthmadog & Pentrefelin. Approximately 2 miles Mynydd Du can be found on the left, a large entrance leading up to the park.
