Booked online. Arrived and found great pitch.
No problems at all,
Great site next to beach and train stops at campsite for either Pwhelli or Portmadog.
Would recommend.

Great location - spectacular views of mountains and sea. Easy walk to beach and Criccieth town and castle. Kids loved the large field set aside for them to play in.
The toilet and shower facilities are very clean and spacious. However, the block close to our pitch (with family/wet rooms) was often full and it was quite a long walk to the other block.
I would definitely return.

The site is magnificently placed on a hillside overlooking the bay and surrounded by mountains. The facilities are spotless and the welcome friendly.
I have been coming here for a number of years as a solo disabled caravanner and always felt welcome with the owners going out of their way to make sure everything is accessible clean and safe.
The site is a little hilly but pitches are well maintained and as level as possible. (Chocks suggested). There is a dedicated area for children with some play equipment. Not really used it much unless I take my granddaughter.
The site is close to Blackrock sands and Cricceth beach (free). PortMeirion is not to far away and of course Snowdon is within easy reach.
I would highly recommend this site to all groups of caravanners as the site is both peaceful and beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the toilets, showers and washing up facilities were very clean. Amazing views from our pitch.
Fantastic location, just a short drive to the centre of Criccieth and the beach.
A huge field for our children to play football in too which was fabulous.
We would definitely recommend staying here and will visit again!

Very well kept site with excellent views of the surrounding hills and the bay.
Lovely facilities and plenty of free hot water in showers.
Level and spacious services pitches.
Pleasant 20-30 minute walk into Criccieth with its beach, bars, shops and castle on the hill.
A really lovely stay, thank you.

Mynydd Du is a very well kept, well presented site, with excellent facilities and friendly owners.
A word of warning for motorhomers though, as due to its fairly remote location, it is much more suited to caravanners, i. E. Separate transport is not completely essential, but a definite bonus, as the site is situated 1. 5 miles from Criccieth Town Centre, along an undulating route.
There are bus stops situated about 15 mins walk from the site, however the bus service is not the most frequent. The railway station is situated at the far end of Criccieth from the site, about 2 miles away.
As stated on the website, the site is situated in an elevated position, with fine views over Cardigan Bay, however this does also bring with it the fact that a stiff breeze is nearly always blowing across. You pays your money and takes your choice.
To conclude, I would recommend this site for caravans, but not for motorhomes.
