Located in a tranquil area of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, the site is surrounded by palm trees and close to magnificent stretches of desert-like coastline. It is only a 1 km. walk to a fine sandy beach
This peaceful, friendly site is popular with British guests thanks to its neat, gravel pitches, which are separated by hedges and have plenty of shade, and its clean facilities.
The 250 gravel pitches are level and of a good size, with 6/16A electricity and limited shade from maturing trees or canopies. There are specific areas for very large units, with very high canopies for shade and seven chalets for rent.
Aware of the importance of the sanitary facilities and the quality of these, we have 3 modern sanitary blocks fully equipped and with all the comfort, that will allow you to enjoy the camping at any time of the year. General hot water, heating, separate toilet cabins. We have sinks, kitchen sinks and automatic washing and dryer machines.
An excellent shop, restaurant and bar are open year-round and set close to the swimming pool.
The pool has nearly 200 m of water surface and about 270 cubic meters of water which guarantees fun for all.
Our campsite has an impeccably decorated restaurant where you will be able to enjoy sampling a huge variety of traditionally cooked andalusian dishes, as well as a large selection of meats, fish, traditional deserts and, of course, our plentiful wine list
In our supermarket you can find a wide variety of basic food products (fruits and vegetables), daily bread, cold drinks, ice,... as well as personal hygiene products, drugstore and camping material

Nearby Attractions
Bird watchers will enjoy a trip to Salinas de Acosta, which is home to flocks of flamingos, among other birds. There are walking and cycling opportunities in the Natural park, while San Jose has a beautiful cove and impressive marina with some excellent restaurants serving Andalusian dishes and wines from La Mancha.
The Nature Reserve presents the opportunity to go on numerous routes and trips. On mountain bike there are several forest paths and tracks to carry out this sport all over the nature reserve, sometimes around a lagoon, at other times going deep into the Mediterranean woods. Not very difficult because the ground is practically flat. Enthusiasts of this sport and those who wish to give it a try will be rewarded with a great many pleasurable sensations as they practice a sport.
There are various companies devoted to leisure and free time where you will be able to organise Kayak, Diving, Canoeing, Trekking, 4x4 Routes, Bird Watching, Potholing, Abseiling, etc.

Access to the campsite is via the N-340 or Autovia del Mediterráneo (E-15). The closest exits are 460 (El Alquián) and 467 (Cabo de Gata), always direction Cabo de Gata. Also from Almeria city, N-344 direction Retamar and Cabo de Gata. When you reach the roundabout of Ruescas, take direction Cabo de Gata on the ctra. AL-3115. In the 9 km of the same, take asphalted inner road of 1 km until arriving at the Camping.
