My wife and I stayed on this site for 2 nights. The site itself is quite isolated and in effect, is located within agricultural operation; the reception staff were very helpful and came over as very professional in their endeavours. We used ACSI card €19. 00/night for a motorhome, 2 people, incl electric. Plots were spacious and at the time of our visit the (mobile home/caravan) side of the camp was only approx. 40% full. Its a lovely setting, with thousands of starlings singing away in the well-established palm trees. There is a restaurant on site, along with a well stocked shop. All in all, well worth a visit, especially if you are looking to relax in peaceful surroundings.

We spent 2 nights at Cabo de Gata site. Well kept facilities, friendly staff and useful shop at this quiet site in May. Everything good but position outside the national park means that the surrounding area which is full of plastic greenhouses spoils the entrance to the site.

We stayed for 5 days in the off season. Even so, about 50% of the pitches were occupied.
Pitches are hardstanding and separated by low hedges. There were a few overwintering Brits, a few of whom visit every year.
The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean.
There is a small shop and restaurant which opened for just a few hours on some days.
There was a nice swimming pool area but the water was too cold for a swim.
This area is very dry. It only rains on about 7 days a year but it can get cool and windy.
The site is within a nature park but. This is the area where most of our tomatoes come from. It is therefore covered with plastic greenhouses. This spoils the picturesque nature of the area. However, there are some nice coastal towns and desert walks. ACSI card accepted.

Some pot holes on long approach road so take care. Wide well spaced entrance to site with accessible avenues to pitches. Sanitary facilities were spotless with staff constantly in attendance.
Good sized flat pitches with pebbles and artificial shading. Quiet site with nearby lagoons full of wildlife. Excellent area to visit with deserted beaches and bays comprised of grey shingle and sand.
It was also good to see that there were very few if any ‘no dogs’ signs on the beaches so we were able to take our dog swimming in the sea.
Short drive to delightful towns of San Jose and Las Negras. This drive takes you through some magnificent scenery of beautiful bays and volcanic valleys.
A 20 minute drive also takes you to the outskirts of Almeria where you will find the main spanish supermarkets.
The swimming pool and bar were both of a good size. The only negative were the flys /mosquito’s that appeared at the same time each evening.

The site is in the middle of a National Park - situated down a tarmac lane approx 1 km from main road.
Pitches all fairly sized and gravel, roads between pitches also gravel. Toilets / shower blocks immaculate (only gripe being dislike the lack of loo seats - but when in Rome.) plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Each shower also has privacy changing area.
On site small shop, restaurant, bar, book / internet room and swimming pool. Also football pitch and petange area- which seems popular.
Approx 2-3 miles to the beach, flat for walking or cycling, bird watchers will love the salt lagoons - we saw loads of flamingos and advocets.
A very well kept site, plenty of space but quiet as away from towns / roads. With ACSI we paid €15 per night with ehu.
Would really recommend this site if you want to be away from the tourist coast and yet only 15 mins drive to the main towns.
Any negatives? not really a lovely site, only very slight downside would be reception staff are neither overly friendly or welcoming - however other staff on site more than make up for them.
