Mowed grass and hard standings; in the heart of Cannock Chase Country Park; perfect for walking, cycling, bird watching; horse riding (paddock available bring your own horse), deer spotting. Lots of historic interest regarding Great War Camps and military cemeteries, stately homes at Shugborough and Beau Desert (Marquis of Anglesey). Children and dogs are welcome under the usual camp site rules. There is a second paddock available for rallies. Portaloos are now installed and bikers are welcome. Bike wash will be installed soon - watch this space. Sorry no showers - yet!
Nearby Attractions
Forestry Commission Visitor Centre, Go Ape and cycle hire. Staffordshire County Council Visitor Centre on old RAF Hednesford site. Shugborough Hall and Gardens (National Trust) all within walking/cycling distance. We are three miles from Rugeley on the Penkridge Road about six miles to Penkridge Market, Lichfield City and Stafford County town. National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas is about 15 miles away. For long distance visitors we are central to Alton Towers, Drayton Manor Park, Cadbury World, RAF Cosford Museum, West Midland Safari Park - all within about one hour drive.

Owner Directions
Situated off the Rugeley-Penkridge road, 3 miles from Rugeley. From M6 recommend heading to Penkridge on A449, take Cannock Road then left for Rugeley after crossing over M6. Straight across A34 junction and next cross roads and continue to bottom of hill left turn into STAFFORD BROOK ROAD (by Silver Trees holiday park), left into KINGSLEY WOOD ROAD, and continue beyond end of tarmac to farm and site. DO NOT turn down the bridle way or FC tracks before you reach Stafford Brook Road. From the A51 use Rugeley by-pass to north end, turn left for Cannock Chase, then first right (Bower Lane-Stafford Brook Road). From A51 north take the next right after Wolseley Bridge junction into Bower Lane-Stafford Brook Road, Kingsley Wood Road is on the right after the entrance to Cemex quarry.
