Gwinear is a family run, highly reviewed and is now an award winning campsite. Gold winners of camping and caravanning park of the year for 2023/24 and Silver winners of the same award for 2024/25 with Cornwall Tourism Awards. Finalists with loo of the year awards for best campsite facilities for 2025 and the facilities have been graded a platinum grading award.
Gwinear is a quiet site, perfect for families or couples looking to switch off and relax. The site is a short drive from beautiful golden sand beaches such as Fistral beach. Crantock, Holywell Bay and Polyjoke beaches are just a few minutes away and are National Trust protected.
There are both grass and hardstanding pitches, with up to 16-amp electric hook up and water directly on each pitch. The site allows campervans, caravans and motorhomes on both pitch types but only tents on the grass pitches.
Gwinear is the home of Gwinear Angling, where you can utilise the on site tackle shop and fish either of our two beautiful and well stocked fishing lakes. You can catch predominately carp up too 20lb on our Pleasure lake and carp up to 36lb on our Specimen lake.
Gwinear campsite offers three main things
1)A large, level pitch, with electric (16amp) and water.
2)Award winning modern and clean toilet facilities
3)Peace and quiet.
New to the site - Laundrette, Free high speed Wi-fi, Dog exercise area and book exchange, communal freezer.
General rules include
Quiet policy between 10pm and 8am. No unnecessary noise at any time.
Dogs are welcome onsite but must be on a lead at all times and never left unattended.
No fire pits, BBQs are allowed if raised off the grass.

Activities include Fishing, Surfing, Coastal Cliff walking, Sand Castles and Rock Pools, Historic Churches, Caves and Blow Holes, Coasteering, Mountain Biking, Fresh Crab lunches, Cream Teas, Art Galleries, Village Pubs, Fun Parks, local events and more. Gwinear offers a great base for a holiday with easy access to all the Cornish attractions.

A number of years ago the entrance was widened to allow ease of access to and from the site. There are zero narrow country lanes to manoeuvre.
Straight off the A3075.
Major roadworks to the A30 leading into Cornwall in recent years will not be shown on satnavs that have not been updated.
