Hawkshead Hall farm is a picturesque working farm set in 100 acres of unspoilt countryside in the heart of the Lake District. Just a quarter of a mile from the village of Hawkshead linked by a footpath from the site through the fields. The campsite has superb views on all sides of the surrounding area.There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and an abundance of wildlife: deer, foxes, squirrels, swallows, curlews along with some friendly farm animals.
Hawkshead Hall Farm offers fully serviced electrical hook up pitches.
There is a modern toilet/ shower block with: shaving points, hairdryers and electric sockets. A separate room with sinks for washing up along with a fridge for freezing ice packs, and laundry facilities to wash and dry your belongings.
Pitches are unallocated, clients choose where to on arrival. Booking is advised.

Nestled in the Vale of Esthwaite deep in the heart of Beatrix Potter country lies the village ‘Hawkshead‘ situated 2 miles west of Lake Windermere and aptly named ‘the prettiest little village in the Lake District‘.
Visitors will find a wonderful mixture of the historic and picturesque; whitewashed walls contrast against narrow cobbled streets adorned with hanging baskets aglow with a profusion of colour.
The pubs are not only friendly but offer some tantalising fayre to whet the appetite. A tremendous community spirit can be found in Hawkshead Village one that will keep you coming back for more, time and time again.Other activities nearby include: fishing, Go Ape in the Grizedale forest, horse riding and boating.

Owner Directions
Via NewbyBridge Take the A590 towards Kendal at the 1st junction exit and continue on the A590.Follow for about 11miles until the roundabout at the junction with the A592.Continue past the roundabout until you reach a left hand bend,there is a right turn over a bridge.Turn right and follow the road round to the left in front of the Swan Hotel.Stay on this road, follow the road around the outside of the village and we are the right. Via Ambleside Take the A590 towards Kendal follow until you are on the A591.Continue on the A591 through Windermere and onto Ambleside.Turn left at the traffic lights, take the first turning left signed - Coniston,then left over a bridge.Follow until you reach Hawkshead,the site is on the left before the village.
