Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park is set in the beautiful Ullswater Valley, and offers year-round holiday accommodation to suit every taste and pocket.
Sitting above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge, we offer traditional Camping, Camping Pods and Glamping Pods, Luxury Lodges and Holiday Homes plus three fully-equipped, year-round self-catering Cottages.
With one dedicated camping fields, camping at Hillcroft Park is a really lovely choice.
Camping field Angle Tarn is set amongst our Camping and Glamping Pods, so if some of you are traditional campers but perhaps other family members prefer something more substantial over their heads then this is a good option. All the camping pitches in this area have electric.
A little further along past Angle Tarn are our Crummock Water hard standing touring pitches. These pitches all have electric hook-up and 5 of the pitches have water and electric.
Set at the top of Hillcroft Park looking out over the site and across towards Ullswater are our Buttermere Touring Super Pitches. They have electric, water and grey water waste facilities. Enjoy a morning cup of tea as the sun rises over Barton Fell immediately behind Hillcroft or perhaps treat yourself to something a little stronger as it sets behind Dunmallard.
These Super Pitches are all hardstanding with generous space around each pitch to set out chairs and tables to enjoy the very best of Lakeland weather.
OUR FACILITIES
We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we`ve an onsite shop and a play area. In fact, everything you`d expect from a good holiday park - plus a few surprising extras, including luxury hot tubs for you, and a doggy shower for your four legged friends!
20 showers (including the doggy shower) 17 sinks 15 toilets 6 urinals 5 boilers 4 Lakeland landscapes 2 private bathrooms and 1 Lakeland soundscape complete with birds tweeting, sheep baaing and water running…they`re definitely not your average campsite bathrooms!
Doggy Shower We know how important it is to have good facilities for our four-legged friends. That`s why, when we built our state-of-the-art shower block, we also included an area just for dogs;
Laundry facilities We have a dedicated laundry room with two coin-operated washers and two coin-operated tumble dryers. Washing powder and fabric softener are available to buy from our shop. There is also a drying room available to guests for wet boots and outdoor gear
Shop Our onsite shop sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples. Local produce include sausages, eggs, bacon and bread plus disposable barbecues, charcoal - perfect for dinner outside. Everyday staples feature milk, juice, cereal and snacks plus fun stuff such as bats, balls and marshmallows for roasting.
Wi-Fi Wi-Fi is complementary in or hire lodges, holiday homes, cottages and Glamping Pods. Wi-Fi PAYG throughout the Park. Wi-Fi provided by Camping Connect.
Play area Our play area is set just up from the entrance and features a toddler area plus more daring slides and swings for older ones. The outdoor table tennis and table football tables are always popular in fine weather and wherever you look, someone is always enjoying a kick about with a football or a family game of rounders.
Nearby Attractions
Hillcroft Park is ideally situated, in the Lake District National Park and on the edge of Ullswater. It is the perfect stop over location if you`re heading either North or South, just 6 miles from junction 40 on the M6 motorway.
We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way - a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point. Why not walk the route in shorter sections, using an open top bus or steamer to start your journey!
