Always on the lookout for a quiet corner of Cornwall in which to lay your head? One that`s close to beaches, theme parks and woodland walks as well? Peaceful Gunwalloe Caravan Park may suit you very well, set as it is on a working arable farm less than 5 minutes drive from Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach, Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10 mins) and forest trails at National Trust-owned Penrose.
With easy access to tree-sheltered grass pitches along hardstanding tracks, this is a no-frills site, owned and run by a family for families. NEW for 20205 we have 6 hard standing pitches.
Optional electric hookup connections
There are plenty of taps around for water, a pot washing area, underfloor heated hot showers and toilet block. Besides the essentials, the site has plenty of space for stretching out and soaking in the scenery while the kids play ball games and make new friends.
Pets are welcome to tag along too, and there`s plenty of dog walking to be had along forested trails and shingle banks around The Loe freshwater lake and Carminowe Creek (10 minutes drive). We also have a dog walking/ exercise area to let your dog have a run around in the fenced in area.
Head to Gunwalloe village for a night out in the well-known Halzephron Inn (five minutes drive or half an hours walk), or try out waterfront pubs and takeaways around the fishing harbour in Porthleven (15 minutes drive).
If you`re running short on provisions, historic Helston (10 minutes) has supermarkets for stocking up as well as pasty shops, pizzerias, pubs and burger bars if you`d like to give cooking a miss.

Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach and dollar cove is a 5 min drive (Dollar cove open for dogs all year round)
For walking along the dramatic coastline, follow the South West Coast Path (5 minutes drive) to Kynance Cove (around three hours walk) on the Lizard Peninsula. Shorter hops include a shoreline walk to Porthleven (90 minutes), and strolls around the headland at Poldhu Cove (20 minutes).
Consider a visit to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10 minutes) to join sea lion feeding sessions and watch beavers frolic in their watery enclosures or the 11 rescued puffins
History lovers head for the harbourside National Maritime Museum Cornwall (35 minutes) in Falmouth to tour historic steamboats and let the kids loose on interactive, pirate-themed exhibits.
When the weather is warm and you`d prefer to be outdoors, have a wander through the subtropical plantings and water features at dog-friendly Trebah Garden or Glendurgan gardens (half an hour).

Go past Tesco (on your left) follow the road past Sainsburys and take the road through Culdrose, to The Lizard the A3083, follow the road, go under the bridge and then take the next road to the right to Gunwalloe.
