Truly fabulous small site. We found this by chance and cannot rave about it enough!
Spotlessly clean, superb hosts, we even got fresh veg delivered to our van!
An absolute joy to be there.
Toilets are awaiting refurbishment and this was reflected in the amazing price but very hot shower and spotless

Our favourite campsite on the lizard.
Yes, the amenities are basic, but they work well.
We always manage to get a space, although we have booked for August this year.
Run by a lovely and helpful couple.
If you want to get away from sites that are FULL UP, this is for you.
There is NO shop, No pool.
You are surrounded by fields, the pitches are flat.
The pub is a 20 minute hike, and the walk to Portheleven around Loe Bar is stunning.

Still poor showers, toilet block newly painted so looking clean. Stayed for two days the only ones on the site beautiful weather. As we have all we need in the caravan the site is perfect plenty of room and clear skies at night for a spot of star gazing and very peaceful. I recommend this site for back to basics.
Rode the bikes down to Gunwallo beach, cold but sheltered in the lanes. Went down to Helston one day ok, the next took a 12 mile trip into Penzance , really enjoyed that.
Will return, a lovely area with lovely people

Great location to watch the helicopters as its close to raf culdrose, the site is very nice with lots of water points around the field, the owners Mr & Mrs Wallace are a lovely couple, always on hand to help.
Now the only downside to the site is the loos/showers, looking at the reviews from 2004 / 2005 it seems nothing had changed, very old and not very clean buildings, shame as if these were updated we would not hesitate to return

Spent three weeks here and would say brilliant for anyone who wants a site that it is ideally placed for touring the Lizard and west Cornwall.
The site itself has good level pitching for tents and caravans and plenty of taps around the site for water.
On the down side though is the toilet and showers which although were always well stocked for loo roll just never seemed to get cleaned, you would be best served by taking a washing bowl for hand, face and dishes as facilities are sparce to say the least.
This is also a very good place if you like helicopters as you are about a mile from RNAS Culdrose and you'll see and hear plenty of them.
Cheap at £7. 50 p/n and £9 p/n with electric hook up

August 2004 Nice little site in great position for visiting Lizard and Lands End.
This is a small site with few facilitie which have seen better days ( the site got its license in the seventies and i don't think much has been done since then! ) despite this it was one of best sites i have visited ! It was extremely cheap - only £7 a night and nice and level. The beach at Gunwalloe is absolutely fab too.
