Ebberston is situated seven miles due east of Pickering on the right of the A170. Alternatively it can be reached by travelling north on the A64 passing Malton and Rillington, then take the B1258 through Yedingham. Just west of Ebberston is the ancient market town of Pickering with interesting antique shops, museum of rural life, castle and the North Yorkshire moors steam railway. The seafaring town of Whitby, the smugglers haunt of Robin Hoods Bay, the beach resort of Scarborough are all but a short drive away. Travelling south you come to Malton, a thriving market town, on the way to historic York which can be easily reached in 45 minutes by car.
