The tipi campsite is located in 22 acres of meadows and ancient woodland, next to the well-known 1066 Walk and only 6 miles from the sea. Your view from the tepees will be over the gently sloping fields and our 12 acre woodland which is perfect for children to play in. The proximity to the woodlands means the meadows are popular sites for all manner of wildlife including deer, badgers, foxes, birds of prey and owls. Situated close to Herstmonceux Castle, (the original site for the Greenwich Observatory who chose the site specifically for the vast expanse of sky unspoilt by light pollution and the inspiration for our name) our tepee campsite is only 5 miles from the coast and within easy reach of the south coast resorts of Eastbourne (8 miles), Bexhill (6 miles), Hastings (10 miles), or Brighton (20miles)
