Booking at Big Sky Tipi's was made very easy by all the information the owners gave via email. They were extremely helpful prior to our arrival giving us a checklist of all the equipment they supplied and any extras such as home grown products and wood we could order for our stay.

They even booked us into the local Pub (The Lamb which was amazing and also very welcoming, good value for money, allowed dogs and most importantly was delicious!). We arrived late due to traffic out of London but the owners were still very welcoming.

The facilities were immaculate with plenty of hot water, a washing up area, recycling and fridge.

The tipis were fantastic with plenty of space, cooking facilities for a couple (or a party of 4 I would think) and beanbags and cosy rugs. There were 4 tipis in the field but these were well spaced so you felt as though you had the whole field to yourself with a large area for your campfire and your own private decking with outdoor beanbags / bbq / gas stove etc.

There are some lovely walks in the area which has a castle from 1066. We also drove a short distance to Pevensey Bay where there is a cheap carpark right on the beach. We had some yummy fish and chips here!

We also went to Eastbourne where we saw some breathtaking views from Beachy Head.

Brighton is a short drive away for some great shopping in the lanes on your way home.

In summary, sleeping in a tipi is a must try experience - the owners of Big Sky Tipis were lovely and catered for our every needs. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Advice if you are going in the winter - take walking boots / wellies and an extra blanket for bedtime for around the campfire and in bed!

We booked and stayed at this wonderful site for 2 nights this past weekend.

Geoff and Sarah were amazingly accommodating and helpful in the booking process and on site once we'd arrived.

The site is way beyond what you'd expect and coming around the corner to the view of the 6 tipis in the field below you is breathtaking. We had a wonderful time. The tipi was fully equipped with everything we needed, the shower/toilet block was spotless and the shower was way better than our own at home with toilets that flushed without trouble. I mention the toilest flushing without problems because the previous reviwer stated the toilets didn't flush and the showers didn't drain away - we did not encounter anythying like this. :-)

The location is great for visits to Herstmonceux Castle, beaches and all the surrounding 1066 attractions.

Our boys asked tonight when we were getting them ready for bed whether we could go back and sleep in the tent again tonight. We can't tonight but we will be back. The most amazing and relaxing weekend we've had in years!

And we would have no hesitation in recommending this site to anyone, singletons, families or couples.
