What a great site, thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Very good value at £23 per night including hook up. It is hard standing so no awnings allowed.

If you are in to coarse fishing this is the site for you, but just as good if you aren’t. Separate shower room for campers but you share the WC’s with the anglers, so they were a bit neglected at times.

Don’t use satnav once you have left the B722 road to Annan as you will end up down a rough track. Follow the sign for Newbie, go over the railway bridge, first turn right, and follow the directions for Broom Fisheries.

Excellent peaceful site, great if you like fishing to.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Easy to get around, good shopping nearby, or just relax to the peaceful surroundings.

Wonderfully serene location with fisheries lakes plus wild areas to explore and evidence of bunkers and abandoned buildings from the site's war history.

Lovely helpful owners.

Quiet.

Close to Dumfries, Annan, and Powfoot beach. Additions to site about to be introduced including 'Hobbit' pods.

Also recently added wildlife hides for rent for people wishing to watch/photograph deer and other wildlife.

Well-stocked shop for fishing equipment, tackle etc.

Lovely peaceful site. Nice view over the ponds - handy for those wanting to fish with a site shop fully stocked with fishing tackle.

The site used to be an ammunition factory in the war and it was interesting to see the old bunker stores.

We enjoyed our stay and the owners were friendly and helpful. The site has a calm unspoilt atmosphere. We walked to the pebble beach and around the fisheries.

There were lots of rabbits and a heron trying to beat the fishers!. Basic unisex amenities shared with the fishers but adequate for this small site and kept clean and tidy.

We had the option to have a key for the site shower but didn’t use it.

Handy place to stay to break our journey home from Scotland. Would visit again.

Quiet site, owners are really helpful.

Fished several of the lakes, caught plenty of fish, all of which were in good condition.

Will definitely go again.

Good for a days fishing not recommended for a break away

No facilities at all for children

Facilities one toilet for all of the fishery campers day users cafe

Male and female glass door ok frosted but you can still see someone on the loo 🤔

Poor hygiene standards

One shower male and female also need to ask for a key kept locked after shop shuts 😡

Shop basically sells fishing tackle

Not ideal for family break

The present times we are in with Covid 19

No rules no social distancing

Toilet not cleaned regularly breeding ground for a disaster 🦠🦠

It says it’s been open for years I think an upgrade is due on facilities

Ok for days angling

Better to pee in the woods safer 👍

Beautifull tranquil and extremely well run.

Idyllic surroundings, would strongly recommend.

The site manager was extremely helpful.

There were lost of wildlife, an absolute haven of sounds.

Very nice, not so much the site itself, which is a functional area of hardstanding with no real views, but the whole area, the many fishing lakes and the WW2 edifices which are fascinating. Just as well, as there is not much of scenic interest in the local area.

It has a great little cafe, £5 for a lovely breakfast, quickly prepared.

Finding the site is easy enough, from the east, drive past the first turn to Annan, take the B721, then B724 signed Lockerbie, a mile along this road, turn left signed Newbie, over the railway bridge and right, signed Broom Leisure. From the west, be sure not to take either of the unsigned farm roads, the B721 is the 3rd turn and the only one which is signed.

There is a Tesco with fuel in Annan, through the town, up a hill on the right.

£17 per night is fine for what is on offer; we stayed twice, on route to Ireland and again on the way back. Customer service is excellent.

Lovely site, some great walks for the none fishers, excellent lakes for for fishers. Short journey to Annan if you like shopping.

Take your bike and enjoy the views. Pitches are good hard standing or grass. If you are looking for somewhere to relax you can't go wrong. We have been about 10 times in the last two years one of my favourites.

Cafe on-site means you can forget making breakfast too.

Quiet site, owners and staff friendly and helpful.

Even though me and my brother were there in February, we had good weather, and caught fish each time we fished.

Will definitely come again.
