I have just returned from a weekend camping trip here. The location is superb and the site was very good. The owners are very nice and above all dog friendly!
I chose not to pitch my tent at the caravan area and opted for a pitch beside the fishing loch.
At weekends there are lots of people here fishing but they are a good bunch of people who love their sport.
The nearest hotel/restaurant is the powmill golf hotel, but you have a better choice in Annan itself which is 3. 5 miles away.
If you have children with you, be aware of the need for supervision near the water.
If you want a basic and friendly site in a nice location, this place is for you.

Easy access to site, take second turn to Annan if travelling from Carlisle to aviod low bridge. (Sat Nav takes you to LOW bridge 8' only). Lovely quiet site level ground. Easy walks around fishing areas and down to beach. Free roaming animals across the the lane fenced in, great to watch. Amenities block with lovely hot shower, well kept. Ideal place to explore the coast and plenty of fishing with the well stocked ponds. Very friendly and helpful owner, we recommend this site.

Lovely owners, so friendly and helpful. Not only is there excellent fishing there in a beautiful location, but the owners were doggy people and made sure that our dogs and I had good places to walk whilst my husband fished.
Toilet and shower absolutely fine, nice little touches like moist toilet tissues etc. There is even a footpath to the beach and a path to Powfoot - although sadly we didn't make it there - the fishing was too tempting for my husband.
Our only regret is that we live so far away from this site as we would be back there every weekend!

We recently stopped at Broom Fisheries and were delighted with it.
Only 5 pitches all with hard standing and
Electric hook up and the welcome was second to none.
The whole laid back feel to the place and the peace and beauty where wonderful.
The fishing was good with lots of choice as it has 6 course and 2 trout lakes, and was never crowded.
We had no problem find places to visit in this region.
Most only a walk or short drive away.
A must to visit was the nearby Devils porridge exhibition.
We will certainly go again.

An excellent small secluded site, quiet and off the beaten track. We were given a very warm welcome by Carole and John.
The facilities are first class and very clean. Pets are made very welcome and our flatcoated retriever loves the walks around the pools.
If you are an angler this is fishing heaven with just a short walk from the site to the pools. Coarse and fly fishermen are well catered for and there is a well stocked tackle shop on site.
We can highly recommend this site and we shall be visiting again as often as possible. It is not the best site for children particularly with deep pools in the vicinity, but for an angler it would be hard to beat.

Love love love this site. We wanted somewhere quiet and that's what we got. Small site with space for only five units. Owners very helpful and made us feel welcome.
Other half also wanted to look at the fishing, great facilities 3 course ponds and 2 fly ponds - he is already planning a return trip to try them out.
Yes there is some traffic past the units but noise is nothing. Lots of wildlife and birds, also pigs and sheep in field across from site -great fun to watch.
Site is also well placed for touring, shopping and of course fishing.

Took a friend of mine and my 2 eldest sons for a few days to Broom Fisheries.
Lovely quiet area and good pitches for our caravan and awning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
There's a nice grass area for the kids to play on and the toilets and shower were superb.
We went for the fishing and it didn't disappoint, we had a chub, a few skimmers, bream, plenty of roach and a common carp.
You are spoiled for choice as to where to fish with numerous well stocked ponds.
The only thing we would add is an area for washing up, although we managed with our small caravan sink.
You can't beat the price for what you get - superb!
We will definitely be back as soon as I can get the time off work.

Just returned from this site after the Easter weekend break. OH and son went for the fishing which I can report was really good some great fish caught. Brilliant setting and lovely views and walks. Do not follow sat nav it takes you to a 8foot bridge, go on website and get directions, or alternative ring owners who will assist.
Wardens are really friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning if we are in the area again. Toilet and shower were very clean and private from the fishery with a key for entry. Hardstanding pitches are slightly small for larger motorhomes but not really a problem if the ground is dry. If you are not really interested in fishing it is also a nice site for peace and quiet with only 5 pitches set slightly away from the lakes so you will not be bothered with any of the fishing crowd. It is adult only although older children can fish with adult supervision.

We were very impressed with this lovely quiet site even with the railway nearby it was very quiet. Hubby love the fishing ponds, with a very well stocked shop for the fishermen too and there is a lovely walk down to the Solway Firth (just wish I'd had a dog)
The facilities were absolutely fine especially as campers were given a key for the shower room / toilet so no-one else could use it. (fishermen)
Nearby Annan has plenty of shops and other things to do (I went to a SL3 football match)
Other attractions are the Devil's Porrige at Eastriggs just down the road, plenty of shopping at the Gretna Gateway and Dumfries if you need it.
There is ice skating in Dumfries and Lockerbie if you want something different. Plus loads of historical places to visit in the area too.
I would say it hasn't anything for children to do other than learning to fish but that is good for those of us who want to get away from the kids for a while. !

This is a lovely spot for a quiet few days and great fishing too. 3 course ponds and 2 fly only.
Really excellent facilities for the CL (C&CC). Level, well drained, spacious, EHU, good chemical dump, and a really nice loo and shower for the CL (with key so no fishers use it).
It is a short walk to the beach and dogs are very welcome.
We loved it. I have given a lower score for child friendliness simply because of the fishing ponds. You couldn't allow children to run around unattended but in all fairness it isn't a place a family with very young children would choose.
Older children learning to fish are very welcome.
The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Be aware that approach is not easy at night. Keep following signs to reception and drive slowly.
