Had a lovely stay at Mill House Camping only stayed one night but facilities were good.
Just us and one other tent on site. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet the owners, which was a shame.
The site itself was tidy and peaceful. Couldn’t find the fridge but that was probably our fault!
Overall a enjoyable stay.

We only stayed one night as we were cycle touring with our tandem.
Basic and rustic feel to the campsite, so a very relaxed site. Toilets are in sheds and fine - take a torch. Showers are in sort of semi covered sheds so are a bit of an experience, fine for one night in good weather. Water was hot and they were clean other than being a bit leafy from the trees! No mirrors.
Cooking shelter with sinks and little gas hob was great - helpful for boiling water if you wanted to cook on the campfire the rest of the time.
Pitches are pretty flat and the setting is nice. Walk down to the pub is a bit hairy as the road is busy. The Victoria pub was very good though - good beer and food.
The only thing that I really grumble about is there were no hooks on the back of the toilet doors, but that is one of my pet hates.

Absolutely great place with fantastic facilities. Sausages bacon and coal is fairly priced and delicious.
A fridge is supplied so any food can be stored. And the nearby village of Framingham has a superb butchers

Just returned from our 2nd visit to this lovely little farm.
We love the basic rustic charm of this place and are already planning our next visit. Its never over crowded, 5 tents during our stay and all round the edge of the field leaving a lovely large area in the middle for the children to play.
There are 4 clean and perfectly functional toilets each in its own cute little shed and 2 semi open air showers, which I have to say are the easiest I have ever used (camp or home!).
The camp kitchen is, as expected, basic but functional. There are some pots and pans for campers use on the 2 burner stove provided, and 2 washing up sinks.
Campers are welcome to look around the farm and see the animals, goats, lambs, pig (and piglets depending on time of year), chickens, cats, dogs, donkey and peacocks (which are a fairly vocal in the wee hours, but hey its a farm what do you expect!).
We love that there is no electricity, no lights shining in your tent all night long! but you will need a torch to visit the toilet at night. We also like the fact that no recorded music/ipods/car stereos are permitted, its nice to get away from technology and just converse with each other for a change.
Its great that there are no check in/out times, there is nothing worse than having to leave a place by 10 am and feeling like you have wasted a day of your holiday. We didn't leave until around 3pm and was able to have a last look around Framlingham in the morning and a relaxing lunch before setting off home.
Being able to have a proper campfire is fabulous, and on this visit we cooked our breakfast over the fire, with the added bonus of being able to teach our children a life skill. Bags of firewood can be purchased from the owners.
Its a great base for exploring Suffolk, and the lovely market town of Framlingham is just a few miles away.
The Victoria pub is a few minutes walk through the farm and then along the edge of the road (this can be quite worrying as there is no footpath but if your careful its not dangerous), or The Old Mill House pub at Saxtead Green (on the way to Framlingham) is good for food and/or a drink in their lovely garden.
The camp is on a fairly busy road, but most of us live near a road anyway and we found that unless an emergency vehicle or a boy racer went past, we didn't really notice the traffic noise and it quiets down quite early in the evening anyway so in no way interferes with sleep.
All in all a very pleasant stay, one that we will revisit many times.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 year old and we really enjoyed it. It was lovely to stay on such a small site as it was quiet and not at all crowded.
The field kitchen was a great idea, especially for cooking in the rain. The facilities were quite quirky with toilets in beach huts and semi open air showers but they were clean and had plenty of hot water. It also felt more adventurous to use them!
There is no electricity on the site so you definitely need a decent torch for visiting the loo. However there is a fridge with a freezer section a couple of minutes walk away.
Our daughter loved the animals especially the goats and peacocks. There were also chickens, geese, cats, dogs and a pig with piglets and we were free to walk round and look at these whenever we wanted which certainly helped to entertain a toddler!
The site was very near Framlingham Castle and Easton Farm Park which was excellent and well worth a visit with young children.
It was about 40 mins to beaches at Southwold and Aldeburgh.
The only slight negative was the proximity to an A road which was noisy at times, especially first thing in the morning with lorries and in the evening with motorbikes. However, the traffic noise stopped early and did not disturb our sleep.

This was our second visit and the site is still one of our favourites. It's small, but there are only a few tents allowed, so it never feels crowded.
The site is well looked after and is level with short grass. The facilities are good, clean and well stocked, but unlit, so make sure you have a torch at night. There is no hot water, but two washing up sinks and a gas-burner for the provided kettle means there is hot water if you need it.
The best thing about this site is the farm. Campers can go and visit the animals when they like, and one of our boys became best friends with Bilbo the goat. The pig was very pregnant, but sadly we didn't see any piglets when we were there. The swans were very laid back and the peacocks made an unbelievable amount of noise when they sat in the tree behind our tent and shouted at the distant peacocks at about 2. 30am.
It is quite near a road, which can get busy in the day but it quietens down at night and we weren't disturbed by the noise. You do have to be careful exiting the site because visibility is not good and it is just inside the start of a 30 zone, so people do still whizz past a bit.
Camp fire pits are just a ring of bricks on the ground, which works fine, and you get a beautiful sunset over the fields while you roast your marshmallows.
There are lots of attractions in the area. Five minutes down the road is Framlingham Castle, which had a joust on the weekend we were there. We also took a trip to Orford Castle. Aldeburgh is just down the road, which is a pretty seaside town with a very busy fish and chip shop.

We stayed 3 nights and had a brilliant time. This is a small, sheltered site set in beautiful fields and trees, just outside a pretty village. It is next to a working smallholding, where you can wander round freely meeting the animals - peacocks, chickens, swans (which were the friendly sort), pigs, sheep, goats and donkeys. There were also two very friendly farm dogs. The kids loved this (even the one who is naturally wary of animals) and we had to have at least one visit each day.
The owners are lovely people, and they took the time to chat with us and the kids about their farm and the animals on it.
The facilities are good and clean, but there is no electricity at them, so bring decent torches. There are plenty of toilets and showers, so you should never have to queue. There is a gas hob provided to heat up water for washing up, and two sinks to wash up in. There is a fridge/freezer in the granary, a short walk from the site.
There are fire pits dotted around the site and you can buy wood for them from the owners. There is a pub within walking distance, but you have to walk on a narrow road with no path to get to it. There are many attractions in the area, such as Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle, Snape Maltings, Orford Ness and the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh.
The only negative points about the site were the noise from the adjacent road and the long grass on the pitches. But these didn't spoil our visit and we will definitely be back.

We have just returned from this site and it tops our list of favourites. We shared the site with 2 other families for the first night, and had it to oursevles for the next 2. The kids loved being able to walk amongst the chickens, swans, peacocks, goats, cats and dogs. The farmer was brilliant with my nervous older son, reassuring him on the gentleness of his dogs, and encouraging him to stroke Stanley. He answered all our questions, and all learnt a lot. We were even able to stroke the donkeys' noses. The fire pit was wonderful for the cool evenings, and the kids had plenty of room to play safely. The facilities had everything we needed, and considering the pitch only takes 7 tents, the 4 toilets were a luxury. We will definitely be back! We spent 3 days visitng Aldeburgh, Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings. All good fun and very entertaining.

We have just returned from a weekend of great family fun at this fantastic campsite.
Last year we came for a weekend on our own and made some new friends whilst also being lucky enough to witness the birth of 8 rare breed piglets!
This year we returned with extended family and had another fantastic time. Very children friendly our 8 year old daughter was smitten with 5 tiny new kittens and we were all delighted to be able to witness the birth of twin lambs.
Farmer Giles and his wife Jackie were fabulous hosts and let us watch the sheering of their sheep as well letting us roam their farm to see their donkeys, goats, chickens, swans, sheep, dogs and of course the kittens.
Toilets are in great little beach hut style sheds and the showers are wonderful, always hot water!
Communal kitchen area is lovely, but the best bit of all is the individual fire hearths and the larger group one too.
Thank you, we shall definitely return
