From phoning to check availability we were welcomed to this site. The owners were findable whenever we needed them and very helpful and friendly.
The site is fairly flat, although a bit rutted and muddy in places (dreadful June weather) and we put the tent near a small hazel copse which gave us good protection when the winds came up (Suffolk show cancelled - it was that windy).
The owners are fairly new to camping but have put a great deal of thought into what we need. The toilets are great, but the showers were a bit too well ventilated for comfort and being only semi-roofed let a lot of tree rubbish in. The site is near a road, but it was only busy (country-busy) at commuter times.
The surroundings are lovely and we were welcome to explore the small holding, animals, mill with local artist. And we used the campfire to cook mutton burgers one night, and brunch of very good sausage, bacon and eggs.
We visited Sutton Hoo, the coast and Woodbridge tidal mill (very good), and hope to return with extended family next year.

We stayed here over the jubilee weekend and we feel very pleased to have discovered such a wonderful place! The owners are very friendly and accommodating - bringing us a bag of wood (very reasonably priced) via wheelbarrow and always on hand if we needed them!
The site itself is in a small field with room for 7 or so tents and we were welcomed to explore their lovely little smallholding with veg garden, chickens, turkeys, goats rare-breed Berkshire pigs! There was also produce on sale; we had some delicious sausages.
The facilities were second to none - 4 toilets which was plenty for the size of the site and wonderful outdoor showers (gas powered) which were easy and fun to use. The owners put a lot of thought into making the facilities low impact and pleasing on the eye, using sheds which were painted in a beach hut style! In addition to these facilities there is also a kitchen area with two gas burners, twin sinks and a collection of kettles, pots and pans which was great when the weather was unkind - providing somewhere dry to make a cuppa and chat with fellow campers!
There is a communal fire area and some really sweet chairs and table made from reclaimed cable reels, giving a nice place to rest or eat.
The Victoria Pub is a few minutes walk down the road, selling local beer and home cooked food - very appreciated in the wet bank holiday weather.
We feel very lucky and privileged to have been among the first visitors here - I've thought long and hard on how it could be improved upon and the only thing I can think of is maybe a mirror above the handwash basins? All in all it was a pleasure being here and I'm looking forward to our next visit!
