Warm welcome from Railway Inn staff, leaflet given explaining all relevant info needed
Spacious pitches, excellent drinking water, waste water, chemical waste & recycling facilities
Frequent buses into Lincoln with bus stop virtually opposite site
Good hearty pub food in Railway Inn
All main supermarkets within 6 miles
Our only complaint would be only 1 unisex shower & w/c in the same room for 7 units

Lovely campsite behind a fabulous pub.
Spotlessly clean bathroom.
Plenty of space between pitches and a car parking area for our other vehicle.
We enjoyed a really good meal in the pub.

The campsite, which is behind the Railway Inn, was flat and reasonably dry although it had been wet during the week before.
The owner was very welcoming and everyone was very friendly. The toilet and shower were clean.
There is some noise from the railway running beside the campsite but it wasn’t bad.
We cycled the 7miles into Lincoln - on a main road but there was a cycle lane. Lincoln definitely warrants another visit.
The Railway Inn is a lively village pub with a restaurant. The food was very good and the portions were huge. We would definitely camp there again.

Lovely campsite. Host very helpful. Washrooms immaculate.
Highly recommend this site. Excellent for fishermen.
Best kept site I’ve stayed at during last three years in UK.
Hope to visit again in the future.

Spent 3 nights on here up to Christmas Day. Pitches are all on grass though no problem getting on / off.
One shower toilet in same room which was heated, spotless and was cleaned daily during our visit. The toilet block has been updated since some of the earlier reviews.
Lovely walks around nature reserve, and we also did a longer walk to Doddington Hall.
Pitch was £18 / night inc EHU.
Only downside was the rail line which did have some trains running overnight.
The pub was friendly with a decent real ale and cheap well cooked food, though a limited menu.

We have had a wonderful holiday at The Railway inn. The food at the pub is amazing (proper home cooked chips, which is very rare these days),
The staff are lovely as are the owners who make you feel at home, they go above and beyond to please you.
Plenty of walks for the dog, including the lake by the site. Very nice and clean facilities.
Very spacious pitches. Secure gate so no need to worry about security.
We visited Newark castle, and Lincoln castle and cathedral. We saw the Magna Carta too.
We enjoyed it so much, we will be back again and again.
It is so nice to find such a lovely place to stay.
If I could give it a higher score I would do.

Stayed at this CC CL.
CC stated there was a drive over drain and a separate toilet and shower, neither is true.
Hosts run the pub and are very friendly. The only 2 things that let this site down is it is right next to a train line but after a day of two you hardly notice them. The other is the wet room is not very inviting. The floor is very unlikely so the drain dies not take all the water away, you have to spend time gathering water from behind the toilet. Shower curtain was filthy.
Would suggest complete overhaul.
