 I’ve stayed at this site a few years ago and really liked it, especially the location.
This time, the weather was not great with rain and wind, the place looked a bit miserable and not many people staying. The next day with the sun out it was back to his I remember my previous visit.
The beach is really nice and long, great for dog walking. The bushes and trees provide shelter but give it a luscious verdant feel. And the nearby forested hills and more distant view of Arran is wonderful.
The toilet block doesn’t look great from the outside but side is clean.
One other thing I noticed was some of the pitches looked a bit worn but that could be due to being late in the season. Advice would be to pick one of the sheltered spots when wind is forecast.

We had great time at campsite.
Very welcome and friendly staff,
Shower and toilets were clean dogs friendly.
Close access to the beach feels like private beach.

This is easily the best campsite we have ever visited ! despite everywhere being so busy this year and this site being HUGE, because all units are put into their own little area of no more than 10 pitches it never seemed busy.
And when they say close to the beach, they cannot get much closer than this ! amazing size beach, clean and safe for all the family, very sheltered and shallow for a long way out.
Great for all kinds of sports and fund and games. Lots of walks, facilities always clean and to a VERY high standard !
Only been home a few days and already booking our return. This time for 3 weeks !
Stayed as guests and left as friends. Colin and Mary run a great site :)

Great location, beautiful site and friendly hosts. W
Here you can almost feel you are on a private Sandy beach and walk on it for miles.
Ood facilities and well secluded pitches plus super helpful and friendly hosts.
Lots of nice walks nearby and a great restaurant up the road.

Great site close to sandy beach.
Quiet and tidy made very welcome.
Half mile road in has a few potholes to watch out for.
13 miles before beats applecross any day.

Great location, excellent facilities and very clean. One minute walk to lovely sandy beach.
A ideal get away from it all campsite.
A wee shop would be nice, but just to round it off.

One of the best campsites I have ever stayed on. Caravan pitch directly off the beach,
Great facilities and fantastic views of the mountains of Arran and Ailsa Craig.
Beach and rocks perfect for swimming, snorkelling, canoeing and fishing.
Will definitely be back.

This is a well managed site in a superb location with clean washing facilities with good hot showers. There is WiFi access.
The fields are level and well drained and bounded by hedges. There is direct access to the beautiful beach. Pitches are generously sized. The owner is helpful and friendly.
The village shop is a mile away and stocks all essentials. We travelled to Campbeltown to stock up on extras.
The Glen bar and restaurant nearby serves good meals but pre ordering is essential for evenings.
Kintyre is beautiful and unspoiled with lots of lovely scenery. Midge attack level was low mostly!
The road to Tarbert is single track and slow going. Not recommended for towing.

Great site. Great warden. Great facilities.
Loads of walks from the site.
All in all a good experience. We were just before midge season, check.
Beach is fantastic and so close. We walked to the point and saw wild goats.

Lovely campsite, really clean and spacious next to a beautiful beach, and lots of walking.
Also some nice places to eat.
