 We stayed at this gem of a site for 2 nights in the Cotswolds whilst travelling to Essex.
Quiet site, well spaced out pitches with good facilities and had ponies on site.

We stayed here 3 nights as we wanted to visit this area. There are an abundance of footpaths but we only tried one due to the bad weather.
It is right next door to Hailes Abbey(ruin. Free entrance for English Heritage and NT members).
Not far from Snowshill (NT) the Cotswolds and Broadway.
The hard standings need some TLC, replace chippings and to remove grass and weeds and be better defined. If you had an awning it would be on the grass.
Showers and toilets are Portacabin type but kept clean.
You are required to drive up to the farm shop to check in and then back down to the site. This could be tricky if there are lots of customers at shop and cafe. It is not obvious how you would turn a caravan round.
For the price we feel it needs smartening up bit.

Site situated down a lovely quiet country lane, bit of a pain to have to un-lock the gate in and out each time and the field had a bit of a slope.
Beautiful views and very quiet with plenty of red kite and swallows swooping down, lovely circular dog walk around the large lake.
Farm shop nice, toilets were clean but unfortunately they absolutely stank, cesspit?? Would be good to have air fresheners in there to help. Portable Shower was like a TARDIS, lots of cobwebs and the water would keep going cold (for quite a while) I think due to campers brushing their teeth at the dishwashing area situated next to them! Also they would flood and you only had a broom to sweep out the water. I'd suggest the site purchases a squeegee blade for this and drill some drainage holes in the floor?
Lady on reception was very friendly.
This site was very expensive taking into account the above. More expensive than a C&MC site where the toilet and shower facilities are immaculate.

My wife and I knew about Hayles Fruit Farm Campsite owing to having stayed there for one night during 2015 when walking the Cotswolds Way.
We returned for a 5 night stay at the end of July this year and enjoyed our stay with one notable exception.
One of the many positives is the Warden. She is very cheery, friendly, and helpful. She is a lovely person and very approachable. The site is well located, being a relatively short walk away from Winchcombe, yet remote enough that there's no developments nearby and/ or busy roads to disturb a night's sleep.
The cafe and farm shop at Hayles Fruit Farm are fantastic, and well worth visiting. They have fantastic products for sale there and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The only real let-down - and, sadly, it has negatively impacted on our ratings for the campsite - are the toilet and shower blocks. The two shower cubicles nearest our tent were port-a-loo style shower cubicles and the water pooled in the drying area ie the area beyond the shower curtain & shower base area. The water was leaking from the base and your clothes would immediately become saturated if you had left them/accidentally dropped them on the floor when getting dressed after showering. Several litres worth of water pooled on the drying area and you actually splash as you walk around until you use the brush to sweep the water out of the cubicle.
Furthermore, the toilets, though not as big a negative as the 2 shower cubicles, are basic and tight for space if you're tall (I'm 6'2" and it was adequate for me, though slightly more snug than I would expect). There are sinks in each toilet cubicle to wash your hands/brush teeth etc. , but only supplied with cold water (no hot water pipe is plumbed in).
That being said, there is a bigger and better shower-/toilet- block situated next to the Warden's location (ie near the main entrance/exist gate). This is far better than the washing and toilet facilities nearest where our tent was located, and definitely worth waiting to use it's shower rather than the 'port-a-shower' cubicles that I've already described.
All-in-all, I *would* recommend Hayles Fruit Farm Campsite to anyone considering staying there, but I just wanted to highlight the one *major* negative (i. E. The 2 shower cubicles furthest away from the Warden's accommodation).
I sincerely hope that Hayles Fruit Farm campsite will be able to look to invest in upgrading the shower cubicles as soon as possible. I would gladly pay an extra couple of pounds per night if it meant that these shower cubicles were upgraded.
Because we're aware of the better shower facilities near the Warden's accommodation, we would definitely return to this location. We really did enjoyed our stay. Had the 2 shower cubicles been upgraded to being like the alternative shower/toilet block near the Warden's accommodation, our score for the "Site Facilities" would immediately jump from 4/10 to at least 7/10, and the "Overall Rating" would immediately jump from 7/10 to at least 8/10. It really is the only thing that we feel needs to be addressed urgently.

Lovely site, with so much space when we visited. We had a non-EHU grass pitch which meant we could pitch up where we wanted, although were asked to avoid the middle of the field so that games could be player there should campers wish to.
The site is on a slope but with levellers was fine. There are also about 10-15 hard standing with EHU should you prefer. The facilities are basic but adequate.
The site is adjoined by a farm shop & cafe which serves breakfast/light lunch type meals. The shop IMO is extremely expensive, but the cider was very nice. The cafe I felt was more reasonably priced and pretty tasty.
The site is also next to Hailes Abbey, an English Heritage site. This was worth a stroll around if you like that sort of thing.
There is little else in immediate walking distance but Winchcombe is a couple of miles away which has a few pubs and shops. I can't really add anything further as I was only there a couple of days but the staff were friendly and the location nice, so I do intend to return.

Only stayed for 1 night as a stopover on our way home from Cornwall. Beautifully quiet site. Slightly sloping pitches.
Toilets are rows of portaloos but don't think festival, these portaloos have to be the poshest I've ever seen, ceramic toilet and washbasin, a useful mirror and even pictures on the wall. They were spotlessly clean too, despite it being wet that day. I didn't use the showers but they also looked clean.
There was a small farmshop on site but it seemed a little pricey. We didn't bother with an Ehu due to it being an extra £14 per night, with only 2 of us we don't use much.
My only gripe is the access system. You have to go past the site to the farm shop to check in and get the access code and then drive back to the campsite and open the gate.
Lots of places just email you the code the day before you are due to arrive. It would be much easier if they could do that here.

Lovely campsite, tucked away in beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff. Paid £11 a night, off peak, grass pitch for one person - they charge per person, so it's cheap if you are by yourself. Bit more expensive if wanting hardstanding or electric hookup.
Small facilities block, with two showers and two toilets - very clean and well presented. Couple of other portable toilet cabins on site. Washing up area. Plentiful fresh water points dotted around. Elsan disposal and recycling bins.
Smashing location for walking, direct access to the hills and footpaths. Very short walk to Hailes Abbey ruins - check opening times as limited off season.
Smashing farm shop and licenced cafe on site - do try their own brewed cider, it's lovely!
Would definitely visit again

From sending the original enquiry using this website the staff were very friendly and polite and directed me on how to book. Booking was easy and once booked I received an email with all the site rules, check in details etc.
I checked in at the farm shop and they gave me the gate code and directed me to the site where I was met by the very friendly warden who explained all the facilities and let me know I could pitch where I wanted.
The site is spacious with trees dotted around for shelter and lots of electric points. It is slopey in parts, but not too bad.
Fresh water points dotted around, full recycling on offer, chemical disposal area and grey waste point
Two showers, two toilets and family / disabled room. All were kept to a very high standard and the showers were warm, temp controlled and you can move the shower heads.
There was a D of E group on, but she let me know before I pitched so I could choose an appropriate area away from them, they were quiet by 10pm and did not give us any hassle or annoyance at all. We got the sun all day and with all the space I was able to put the dog on a long lead for extra space to run around.
The on site farm shop stocked all sorts including clothing, huge bbqs and a great range of chutneys, cheese, meat, milk, ice creams, etc.
The on site cafe was great, we got a couple of pints of their cider which was delish and only £4. 50 per pint. They also did a full range of normal cafe food, including a full breakfast, however I did not eat there.
Walking is in abundance straight from the site and you can go for miles and miles which offers fantastic views across the hills.
There is a ruined Abbey a coupe of minutes walk down the road which is run by the English Heritage, however it wasn't open on the days we visited.
A steam train, and platform is just down the road which looked lovely, but we did not take a ride.
Local town 3 miles away with bigger shops for your groceries and lots of different shops to browse around.
The price for me in the campervan with my dog was £12. 50, however it was just £11 without a dog. We did not use electric.
The site has loads of space to walk around, play, etc and we came for one night and stayed for three as we enjoyed it so much, that says it all.

A gem of a campsite.
We were welcomed by a friendly warden to a beautiful, quiet site with lots of space.
The facilities block is a well-heated portacabin with individual bathrooms with WC, toilet paper, sink, hand soap, and hand dryer. The showers are also in separate heated rooms with enough space, shower curtain, and chair to keep clothes and towel dry. Everything was clean, comfortable, and warm. There is also a covered dish washing area.
Hailes Abbey is next door as is the farmshop and café which serves the best lemon raspberry cheese cake we have had in a long time. The farmshop sells all the essentials and lots more.
There are also several footpaths in all directions. Winchcombe is about 1 hours walk across meadows and the Cotswolds Way passes by the the front gate of the campsite.
From Winchcombe there are regular buses to Chipping Campden and Cheltenham. There is plenty to do and see nearby without having to use the car.
The weather had been very wet before we arrived so on arrival we were allocated a place on hardstanding at no extra cost. It did not feel crammed even when every hard-standing space was taken at the Bank holiday weekend.
Sometimes a couple of ponies graze on the site and lots of birds live in surrounding shrubs and woods.
The campsite fee is per person (rather than unit incl 2 people) which is great for solo travelers. Electricity seemed expensive but with a solar panel on the roof I didn't need to hook up and the 8 nights were a bargain.
A great campsite, we loved staying there.

This is a very clean, tidy and well maintained campsite, in a lovely, quiet setting.
The toilets were modern, clean, warm and with good showers.
The pitches are large and well spaced out. There was a warden on site to greet us, who was friendly and helpful.
There is a farmshop and cafe on site. We ate in the cafe twice, and couldn't fault it. Dogs are allowed in the cafe.
Take a torch, as the campsite is very dark at night, and the automatic lights in the toilets are a bit random!
It's a great location for walks around the Cotswolds. The Cotswold Way goes past the campsite.
We will definitely be coming back!
