This is quite a basic site but a perfect base for walking in the area.
The site is a large field in two halves. The top is grass only with no electric hook up so good for tents, and the bottom has some hard standing and electric hookup. About 8 I think. There is a tap in the middle of the field and one at the bottom by the toilets. The toilet block was a sort of portacabin, one male and one female toilet plus a shower each, which I thought was adequate for the amount of people on the site. Access could only be gained to the field and the toilets by a key which was a £5 deposit. This is to prevent people who are walking in the area using the facilities when they are not on site.
There are no washing up facilities but there is a chemical disposal point inside the bin area next to the toilets.
We had a fantastical peaceful long weekend in a lovely part of the country.
The site is on a fruit farm so the farm shop sells local produce as well as it's own grown crops. You can buy fruit, meat, preserves, etc in the shop as well as cider of course.
By public footpath you can walk to Winchcombe from the site, which takes about an hour, catch the Steam train at Greet and go to Toddington where you can get on another footpath and walk back to the site to make a round trip for the day. The train is lovely and can be heard at varous times of the day when they blow the whistle on route.

Very disappointing site, although I had read the reviews here. Arrived too late to go find somewhere else but wish I had taken a good look before paying £15 for myself and two kids in a tent, for practically no facilities, in an unmowed field with grass and clover so long it was hard to pitch and your feet got soaking wet anywhere you walked. No washing up facilities whatsoever, no lighting except the small one on the portacabin toilet - only one loo and one shower for each gender, for which you pay a £5 deposit for a key. Really, who else do they think is going to try to use a tiny loo at the remote end of a fenced field out in the country? How do groups or large families manage sharing a key? Possibly because it was unsupervised, there were two large groups of campers with several tents each who were up shouting and laughing noisily late into the night. The reviews here give the impression of being able to have campfires but apparently you'd have to bring your own provisions for one because I didn't see any around the shop and no information was given. May be good as a farm shop but the owners obviously let out the field as an afterthought and show no interest in the campers.

We have just returned from our stay over the whitsun bank holiday. We stayed in a tent with no electric hookup. There is one large field for camping and caravans. The pitches with hookup are at the bottom half of the field near to the shower block and are on a gravel standing. Those camping without hookup can pick a spot anywhere else in the field. There are 2 taps for water one in the middle of the field and another near the showers.
Despite being BH and the fact that they were fully booked we arrived Fri afternoon to find an almost empty field. This site is in a very nice part of the cotswolds and is situated in a bit of a valley with hills all around. I think its position means as it is quite sheltered from the elements as we did not realise there had been quite such bad weather (we did have rain though!) elsewhere until we ventured home.
The rolling hills all around make for an execellent back drop to the campsite. The on site farm shop has most things you could want including a good selection of local meats and of course apple juice and cider made by the farm. We also managed to get some of the first crop of strawberries grown there too (a real treat). The shop is open all day (9-5pm). When this is closed there is a spar shop by the pheasant pub in toddington which is open till 9.00pm.
The tea rooms are also open all day except sunday when they open 12-3 and serve a roast dinner and hot specials. The tea rooms will pack you a hot or cold sandwich to take away and we even got given a drop of cider to try by the very friendly staff. The Sunday roast was excellent.
I echo alot of the previous comments about the facilities, an extra toilet and shower would be a real plus, as would a washing up area, but the showers are free with plenty of hot water. Having said that we didn't really have to queue for the toilets or the showers but we did avoid the showers at the 8am rush.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. It's situation is convenient to the cotswolds and for cheltenham and gloucester if the weather is not so good. This site would get 10/10 if it wasnt for the toilets as is its still an 8

Stayed here for a wet and windy Easter weekend. The gravel pitches and roadway on the site provide for good drainage and prevent things getting muddy.
Very friendly owners and the very well stocked farm shop and adjacent tea rooms are a huge bonus.
Agree with previous comments on the facilities - basic but adequate and clean. One problem we had was that there weren't enough keys to go around and we had no key for the ladies loo - had to borrow from adjacent campers which was a nuisance.
As other reviewers have highlighted there is an issue with the electrics. While each outlet has individual RCD protection, there is a single circuit breaker for most of the pitches. Therefore it trips fairly often when the total load exceeds supply capability. The owner responded quickly in coming out to reset it when necessary - but again not ideal.
There are very good pubs and restaurants in nearby Greet and Winchcombe, and it's a 20 minute drive to Cheltenham for city attractions.
We too would be happy to stay here again but would ensure that we are not completely dependant upon the site facilities.

Had the most perfect weekend here with friends and toddlers - this place is a real gift for foodies who like campfires. The farm shop is stuffed full of really fantastic food, most of it produced on the farm itself. You can pick your own fruit and veg and they grow a huge range of different crops. The tea room on site provided smashing cream teas and the children were made very welcome. We had roaring fires each night accompanied by cider made on the farm. The facilities are clean, basic, adequate -there were only a handful of other campers there when we went though so the one shower might be a bit less fun whenit's full. The views are lovely and the site gets full afternoon and evening sun, it's very peaceful but spacious enough that noise from the children and late night boozy laughter didn't disturb other campers. Nearby Winchcombe is very pretty and also a haven for foodies with excellent butchers and bakers as well as a co-op for basics. We are definitely going back, many, many times.

Spent a lovely Easter weekend at this site. We paid roughly £50 for 3 nights with electric hookup + £5 deposit for the toilet key.
The field is quite small with about 10 hardstandings with electric. We had a problem with the electric the first night but the owner sorted it the next day.
The owners were friendly and unobtrusive - I hate sites with zillions of rules and regulations.
There are no facilities other than a small portable toilet block, chemical toilet disposal and the farm shop & tearoom.
For a large group with tents I think you would struggle to share the 1 shower and 1 toilet. There were only a few tents when we were there so it was not too much of a problem.
The farm shop seemed to stock all manner of fruit, veg pickles and frozen food for BBQ's etc - didn't try the tea room.
There is a Spa shop nearby which is open until about 8 each night, Sundays and Bank Holidays and next door to that is a pub.
The nearby village of Winchcombe is a sleepy little place but very beautiful with a few pubs and small shops.
If you want an all singing all dancing site then this place is not for you, but if you want peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings and can cope with the toilet/shower situation then I recommend you try this site.

Stayed here for one night on our way from Northumberland to the south coast. Kind of half way! You can find this site at the end of some very windy roads. The drive is very nice. Scenic is the word I would use. Very friendly staff. Very helpful too.
We paid £14.50 for one nights stay, that's one tent, one adult, two kids, and EHU. We had to call the owner at eleven at night because our electric tripped out. It happened again at three in the morning but I couldn't be bothered to wake them. I thought it may have been our equipment but it has been fine at two other sites since.
You will love this site of you are into organic, home grown produce. Jams, pickles or even cider. We ate in the restaurant. Prices are what you would expect to pay for a site of this nature.
Would we return? Yes.

Ground very hard for pegs, farm dog barks all day, touristy area, countryside a bit boring, quite flat.
Nice place, out in countryside, campfires ok, good shop with fresh produce, shower good and clean, can pick fruit, v quiet.

I can only echo the other reviewer's comments, and won't repeat their description of the facilities here - we found them as described. This is a simple, quiet site with basic but decent facilities, in a lovely area. The site is secure, and the lane outside is quiet (being a dead-end leading to the farm and houses only). The Cotswold Way runs along the lane, and at £4 pppn it is a good backpacker stop.
It seems that the site allows campfires, as our neighbours seemed to have one every night (and some mornings!), and there were suitable bare patches by our tent and others. It might be worth knowing that the pitches on the top right of the slope (as you look up it from the toilets) get the evening sun for longest. There is an electricity line running across the field.
The farm shop (open 9am-5pm, 7 days) is a useful addition - you couldn't rely on it for all basics but they do sell meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, cheese and milk, as well as jams, pickles, cakes and biscuits, apple juice, wine and a small selection of local beers. They will happily freeze freezer packs for cool boxes. There's also a tea room and a nature trail around the farm.
Other nearby facilities include a Spar shop and pub (The Pheasant) at the roundabout at Toddington (~2 miles), and a selection of local shops and pubs in Winchcombe (The Corner Cupboard highly recommended!) (~5 miles). Broadway, Stow on the Wold and Cheltenham are all within easy reach.

May 2005 We visited this site over May Bank Holiday. It is a certified C&CC site.
There are a number of hardstanding pitches with EHU and the rest is grass. Slightly sloping, but this didn't cause us a problem. Pitching, other than the EHU pitches, was wherever you wished.
On booking in at the Farm Shop you pay a £5 returnable deposit for a key to the gate and the washrooms. The washrooms were very clean. For men there is one urinal, one cubicle and one shower. For women, one toilet and one shower. However, the women's toilet is also the disabled toilet - not sure how this would work for a disabled man. Also, as a result the only washbasin in the women's side is in the disabled cubicle - can result in a wait if mothers are cleaning children's teeth etc in the evening. A portapotti is definately an advantage here.
There is no wash-up point, so you do need to take a bowl with you.
Even though it was bank holiday, the site was not too full - there was plenty of space between units.
Would we stay here again? Definatelty.
