Lovely little rural site not far from southport. Showers and toilets could do with a little tlc.

Tea rooms/shop was lovely and not to pricey

Staff very friendly, small play area for the little ones.

Would definitely return.

This was our first visit to The Farm. First impressions weren't great if I'm honest. We were the only tent on a field of what looked liked seasonal residents in their tourers. Things did pick up on the Friday when more people arrived though, and the sun came out. We learned to love our plot at the bottom of the field, it gave the impression that we had a huge pitch to ourselves. The electricity is absolutely valued

For money, we spent less than £1. 50 over the course of our stay. We also met some lovely people.

We used the farm shop only to buy bits and pieces, and many Ice creams for the little one, so can't comment on the food but is a lovely little place and I heard many good comments from those who had eaten in there.

As with most things, there was a downside sadly. The toilet facilities were far from ideal. The ladies had 2 accessible cubicles from 3. Only one was acceptable in my view, the other was incredibly dirty. If people think that's acceptable in public, god knows what their own bathrooms are like! They facilities weren't cleaned during the entirety of our stay and by Monday morning, even the acceptable loo was in poor shape. For that reason, I was glad to be leaving. According to my husband, the men's seems to be in an even worse state.

I didn't use the showers because the cleanliness had put me off. Me and the little girl went old school and, using the boiled kettle water, had strip washes and foot spas using the washing up bowl which she found fun. My husband was much braver and actually said the shower was of decent quality and was much cleaner than you'd expect.

The site park was also a bit unloved. Bits of rubbish and overgrown grass unfortunately but that didn't really bother our little one who made friends with our neighbours and they all played together on our field.

All in all, we did enjoy our stay and will go back in the hope the cleanliness issue was just a one off.

Nice site with friendly owners that were more than happy to help with any enquiries.

I did book a pitch with electric hook up so found it odd to have to buy the electric separate from the main booking, never come across this before as usually the price is all in. Easy way of making more money when someone has paid upfront then when they depart there’s money left in the meter, which I imagine is easily cancelled ready for the next customer to top up.

This site is quite nice, but the cleanliness of the toilets was way off the mark and a big no from ourselves.

We enjoyed our stay at the farm, Burscough.

Nice farmshop and tea shop on site.

Quiet, leafy location.

Clean ablutions block.

Good selection of restaurants and takeaways in Burscough (short drive away) when didn’t feel like cooking.

We love it at The Farm.

It’s expanded a bit since our last visit as there are more pitches and never have issues getting a space.

Great little site if you just want a quick getaway for a few days.

Pros: Electric points are really good value for money. Facilities are clean and staff are friendly.

Cons: park could do with something else on there to distract children.

Only stayed one night but the pitch was good clean tidy.

The toilets clean and tidy not too say to find in the dark.

Road noise died down quickly and was not an issue.

Would use again

We love it here so much. The animals, especially the cute donkeys, are a pleasure to see. The hens are friendly and come over for attention.

It is good value for money too.
