Pros - huge pitch sizes, lots of space for kids to play, friendly staff in both the shop and cafe, good price for tent, kids had fun on the park area.
Cons - toilet block and facilities for tents ie washing up. Not all the toilets were working and not the cleanest.
No fridge/freezer for keeling ice packs frozen etc.

Site itself was ok but the facilities were pretty poor,
£20 per night for a tent pitch with electric hook up, electric was extra starting at £5 minimum but this lasted us our stay,
Toilets were not kept clean, shower facilities were poor and only one available,
Washing up facilities were like washing up in your garden shed,
If your happy with a cheap price and really basic facilities then this is ok

Myself and my husband stayed for 2 nights in our air tent with our granddaughters (5&6yrs).
They loved the animals and the open space and had a ball at the park.
The cafe was wonderful and the staff so lovely and friendly.
However if you’re in a tent, facilities are basic but clean.

A great site to try out our new (to us) van.
A friendly welcome,
Lovely tearoom and shop on site, basic toilet/ shower block, playground, animals, peaceful,
Close to the leeds/liverpool canal for walking, cycling and pubs.
Overall a lovely setup!

The Farm was brilliant, pitches really nice and level.
Water pressure from tap on field was great. No issues with electric hook up and it wasn't expensive either.
The children loved having Walter the donkey wake them up in the morning.
The friendly sheep and alpacas were also good entertainment.
Toilets were always clean and well stocked with toilet roll.

This would be a perfect site if the toilet block and showers was clean and updated. We were so glad we hadn't booked to stay longer and I'm glad I had my own toilet tent. It's a shame as it has put me off booking again.
Site is only 20 mins from Southport, so great location, quiet and rural. My kids loved the animals and feeding them.
The park is ok for little ones but a little small for older children (mine are 11 and 16).
Great size pitches, we managed to fit our big tent on with a porch and windbreaker, with the car and trailer at the side.
It's the first site we've been to where the electric is pay as you go. So we put £10 on to be safe thinking it may run out quickly but we only used £1.12 in 2 nights and we use the electric for cooking, kettle and a light on inside the tent all night so this was really good. Unfortunately it's non refundable but we didn't mind as it was a cheap stay.
Shop on site that's open every day till 4pm. Restaurant and a few other things like a dog grooming parlour (we didn't use any of these though so can't comment). Staff friendly.
Overall it was OK.

Spacious campsite, with lots of animals which was great for little ones.
Did feel like the site was set up more for camper vans rather than tents (eg no freezer). Although at the farm shop they were very helpful and let us keep our ice packs under the ice cream!
Farm shop was very convenient. The canalside by Burscough (8 min drive) has a lovely walk along.
The toilet block wasn't the best. 2/3 female toilets and 1/3 male toilets were out of order. They were often quite untidy/didn't appear clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure, but also didn't seem super clean. In the male shower the floor was cracked and there was a stench of something which wasn't particularly pleasant.
Nighttime curfew would be appreciated too as there was loud music being played past 10. 30pm. Although I appreciate that's not the campsite's fault, and we were probably more sensitive to it with having a baby.

Lovely campsite, with friendly staff at the farm shop on arrival. The site itself was well maintained including the facilities.
It was a bonus to have animals so close to our pitch up, and free roaming chickens that weren't shy.
There was a little play area that kept the children entertained.
All in all it is a lovely little campsite that I would definitely visit again.

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights in the camping pod.
It was great!
Double bed (bedding needed) and two single beds that we used as a food station and a clothes station, so plenty of room!
My parents stayed in a van opposite and there were toilets and a shower which were basic but fine for what we needed.
On site farm shop and cafe which did lovely coffees and breakfasts, stonesthrow from South Port!
Really lovely time and cheap too!
