We only booked for 1 night to try out our new campervan, The reviews were so good we thought we’d give it a try…
From the minute we arrived at the entrance gate, easy entry & straight away met Sam at the reception…what an absolutely lovely lady & showed us to our pitch!
We’d had a bit of rain so she showed us where to park safely… what a beautiful hidden little campsite!
Surrounded by fields…& exactly as the previous reviews say, the toilets & shower blocks are literally spotless! As if they’ve never been used!
Very safe & secure for little ones to play in the field…Sam also told us about the food/takeaway places a few minutes down the road…we opted for chinese! Soo good! We will 100% be coming back…
The campsite & friendly welcome/customer service we cannot fault!
Thankyou, see you again soon xx

We are a group of ex army friends and chose this site for a weekend get together.
The site is beautiful, so well managed. We had hard standing with electric hook ups, the pitch was a generous size.
The toilet/shower blocks are spotless and cleaned many times throughout the day. There’s a bus stop outside the farm gates.
We would recommend and will visit again.

Lovely toilet block on a small friendly site.
Secure gate was a real bonus. So handy to reach from the M5.
We will certainly be back.
Loved seeing the sheep in the nearby field.

2 nights on hardstanding pitch opposite shower block.
Visited with adult daughter as she was attending a wedding at the nearby Elmore Court (country house wedding venue).
Gables Farm very easy to book and good communication. Easy entry to site via secure gates.
Showers/toilets clean but rather cold and therefore very steamy whenever shower running.
Glad we chose hardstanding as grass field would have been very wet (with several what appeared to be stored caravans), although the view wasn't very inspiring.
The nearby villages are chocolate box pretty and lots of canal tow path walks.
Sam and Roger very pleasant owners and Sam offered lots of local walk advice but didn't get chance to try any.

1st time at this site.
Pitches are great as small hedge and a grass section to separate each pitch.
Booking was so easy.
Toilets and showers spotless, warm inside and plenty of hot water.

Campsite had lovely owners.
Site had clean modern facilities.
The only downside is its close proximity to 2 busy roads. So could hear traffic for a lot of the time.

Used this site as a base to visit family in the area.
Staff very pleasant and friendly, the site itself was very clean and tidy as were the facilities for shower/toilets and pot washing.
At our visit the grass was a couple of inches long and as we had a couple of periods of rain so walking around your feet got really wet, only a minor gripe and wouldn't stop me using again.
The site is just off the A38 which is quite busy, as we were in a trailer tent it didn't muffle out the sound of the traffic so just bare in mind if you sleep lightly the road does get traffic from early morning to late at night.
