We stayed here because we needed a base near to family, we had a grass pitch without hook up as we weren't going to be there much in the day. The views were lovely, the field was nice and spacious. The site was very secure with an electric gate accessed with a card.
The facilities were the cleanest I have ever seen with attention to detail, just one small thing to mention, the shower spray was very wide and the drying area got wet, it could have done with being condensed a bit.
Everywhere was very tidy, little things have been thought out like the grey waste emptying point had a splash back to keep it cleaner, the water tap had two way switch. Next to the pot washing facility there is an information area with local walks, bus times etc.
A lot of thought and work has gone into this site and yes you can hear the road noise but it never kept us awake and nothing can be done about it anyway.
We shall certainly be staying here again.

Had a really nice stay.
Very clean site and facilities were good and also clean.
We had a lovely spot.
Sam was very welcoming and helpful.
Apart from hearing traffic from a road,
Would definitely stay again.

What a surprise it was to find this fantastic site. It was really easy to access from the M5.
We had stayed in the area on several occasions previously but never at this site.
The site is very well laid out and the shower block was one of the best we have found. It was spotlessly clean.
The owners were most helpful on the phone and once we had arrived.
We will certainly stay there again, as long as my review and others don't lead to it always being fully booked!

Stayed here for one night on our way back to Sheffield from Newquay.
Site is within 10 minutes drive from M5; petrol station, pub & shops close by.
Excellent shower & toilet facilities in a quiet and peaceful location.

Only tried to book a month ago, deposit wouldn't go though but Roger said not to worry at all and come anyway (let us bring our 3 dogs too) Roger and Sam (owners -same family for 75 yearss) are really helpful, I think Roger watches if anyone uses the facilities and must shoot in to clean them instantly as always totally spotlessly clean day and night!
Zac the Essex boy, this years on-site warden greeted us like an old mate which instantly made us feel at home despite never meeting him before, gave us an extra foot of room when he pitched us.
Only way him and his wife could have been more friendly and helpful is if they came and cooked for us :-D said to knock if we needed anything 24h a day (where do you get that unless it is a tacky corporate site?)
Made friends with Charlie their dog and the owners dog on day one.
Let us use a second key card for the very secure electric front gate and only have 25-35 vans in site despite licence for 75 so loads of space even when full, we have a 6 berth full awning and a caravan sized dog pen set out.
Massive independent camping shop just down the road as well as Chinese and Indian food. Zac has directed us to a great kebab van locally even suppling us a menu.
Rare to meet 3 strangers who act like you are retuning regulars at a campsite!
Location is great (little bit of road noise but tbf didn't notice it at night)
Only con is Sam you need to buy more key cards ;-)

A lovely site. Ideal location for me. A friendly welcome - for Sam and Zac nothing was too much trouble.
My request for a pitch near the facilities and with evening sunshine was met exactly.
Those facilities were of the highest standard and spotlessly clean at all times. There is no shop - but I didn't need one, and the farm eggs were excellent.
There was some traffic noise from the A38 during the evening and there is a constant background drone from the M5; this didn't disturb me at all, but another couple I spoke to found it difficult.
In fairness, I must dock one point for this - though I recognise that the A38 has been there since Roman times and there is nothing the owners could do about that or the M5!
Other campers I met were all very friendly. The resident large white cat inspected my little campervan in detail and obviously approved; what more could I ask?
There were many dogs - they were friendly and didn't bother me, or the resident cat!

Beautifully kept site and lovely helpful owner.
Very convenient situation near to the motorway but not so near that the noise was a problem.
The toilet and shower block is modern and spotless.
