This is a lovely quiet campsite situated beside a flowing river. I was sited on a pitch without hookup but this was reflected in the price.
Although my stay was at the time of the Belladrum music festival the owners did not charge extra as was the case with other nearby sites.
Washing Facilities were good and kept clean. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
The only downside (or upside depending on your views) dogs aren't allowed on site.
Overall a lovely quiet site run by nice people.

What a lovely site, quiet & secure, easy access to highlands. Easy to find & get into.
Owners were lovely.
We loved being able to walk down the site & sit by the river while having a cuppa.
Very reasonable price too.
We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
Facilities were clean & functional.

Contin is a great place to stay and Riverside campsite is a credit to the area.
The site slopes gently down to the Black Water, and has good facilities.
The village itself has an excellent chip shop (Smiddy's Chippy) which is only a 5 minute walk from the site, and, not too far away, is the town of Strathpeffer which is definitely worth a visit, especially the old railway station.
We enjoyed our stay at Riverside!

What a hidden gem of a campsite!
Through the gates and down to slope. Opens into an idyllic spot.
No hard standings but perfectly kept grass and river trickling by the site.
Facilities spotless clean.
First class campsite. 👍🏻

Nicely located at the side of the river. Very adequate if slightly eccentric facilities for ablutions, laundry and dishwashing, which are all regularly inspected and cleaned.
Local shop and garage within immediate vicinity. Very helpful and friendly management.
Would not hesitate to stop there again.

We had a lovely stay here. The owners brother was looking after the site at the time and he was very friendly and helpful. The toilets could do with an upgrade but they were still OK and cleaned regularly.
The was in a good location for us add were going to the Belladrum festival later in the week.
We were in our festival tent an Outwell Oregan 5 which is smaller than our normal one but adequate for purpose. Pitch size was OK but it 25mtr EHU just made it to the connection point, so take an extension of you go. Pitches are fairly flat.
Local shop 50mtrs from the campsite. No pub in the village though.
All in all a good wee site

Riverside Campsite is a great place to stay. The chalet was spotless, comfortable and cosy with a good standard of decor. The beds were comfortable too.
The staff were friendly and really helpful.
It's a reasonably priced place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area of hills and forest. Close to Strathpeffer and not too far from Inverness.
It's a great place for a holiday. I'm definitely coming back.

Was driving from about 10 miles East of Inverness towards the west coast and looking for a couple of places to stopover and the map looked a bit sparse on campsites.
I saw this one and I'm glad I stopped. Spent 3 nights. There is a grocery/off licence at the entrance. There is also a petrol station and hotel on the same road open to the public.
The campsite itself is a square piece of grass next to a river, so very nice setting. At first a little worried about getting stuck due to some very heavy persistent rain, but no problems whatsoever. Facilities are in a basic type building and very clean.
Laid back site, pitch where you like and if there's nobody there at the time they'll catch you later. Didn't meet the owners, but met the warden, friendliest guy you could meet.
Would definitely stay again.
