 Exquisite gem of a site. Set in beautiful surroundings of an Old Manor House. Although near a main road, it is lovely & peaceful.
The site is full of character & even has an old pillbox in the main field.
The river running through the site is another lovely attraction.
This was our 2nd visit to this site & we will be back again at some point.

This is my go to campsite ad I'm local to the area. Its set over 3 areas, 2 have some EHUs and one is elec free. The sites are adjacent to the river Frome which is brilliant for having a paddle or a dip (I do). BBQ pits are available for hire and logs for sale.
Cream teas available in the Manor House and weekends have a coffee car and a pizza van. Shower block is a converted cattle shed, showers work well with 50p. Washing up next to the showers. Toilets across the way, basic but clean and well stocked.
Non elec is called Tagglemead and you can sit by the river, catch ducks floating past, or the occasional swimmer! Walk on a bit and the farleigh swimming club is next field.
A beautiful place for a dunk and relaxing swim or paddle.
Town is a few mins drive away or pop over to Tuckers Grave pub (5 mins drive) for some lush cider and live music in their barn (also does a good meal).
Never feels crowded and always is my happy place! Non elec or elec pitch cheap and easy to book online.
Good base for exploring the area and going back to some perfect relaxing camping!

If you enjoy rustic charm this site is absolutely for you. Basic facilities to be found in medieval out houses. 3 toilets in one and 2 shower stalls (50p for piping hot water) 3 hand wash basins and 2 washing up sinks in a refurbished medieval barn. No heating so in Sept somewhat chilly.
Grass was cut short and camping area flat. Very picturesque with river running through which can be swum in if brave enough. Handy location for Longleat and several NT properties and gardens.
Very reasonably priced I thought, at £72 for two people in a tent for 3 nights. I would definitely book again but then I did like the rustic, basic aspect of the site maybe not every bodies cup of tea though, talking of tea the farm sells a fantastic cream tea for £6. Two scones or £4 for one. Home made with their own cream from Jersey cows. One drawback was traffic noise, .
A fairly busy road runs along the camp site. But even so my sister and I LOVED it.

Ideal site for families. Enjoyed our stay, lovely being close to the river.
Short drive from Kennet and Avon Canal, Avoncliffe Aquaduct, Caen hill flight and Bath.
However, the "Sanitary Waste" is in the middle of the field, with a sharp rusty manhole cover and children were playing around it. Dangerous and un-sanitary. Time for a modern update, I feel!

A beautiful setting. Unfortunately the weather was poor so we weren't able to make the most of the walking and swimming opportunities or the pizza oven,
But will definitely visit again. Would have given a better value for money score if the showers were free.

Oh Dear! We arrived on the site after a long journey in traffic jams and needed to find something special.
The cream tea was a bonus but the welcome and our pitch left a bit to be desired.
The toilets were dirty and the facilities were far short of what there should be for the number of units that were pitched. Only two showers (50p) and shared washing spaces and no hot water.
We also were unable to find the chemical and grey waste emptying points after a good search.
A fun site for a weekend camping but not for any longer I'm afraid. It is a shame because the potential is great and a bit of effort would really improve things and make this a lovely spot to stop over for Bath, the canal and other attractions.
Also a bit pricey for what we got. We can recommend the Friday night wood fired pizza and cider though which sort of made up for things!

Main site remains lovely but we found ourselves in ‘Tagglemead’ which seemed to be an overflow field and is not suitable as a campsite in my opinion.
The road noise was horrendous, and continued throughout the night meaning we had to purchase ear plugs to get any sleep!
Field was also used as a dog walking / toileting space which wasn’t great if you’re not a dog lover.
We asked to move but were told there was no space however others just moved - the site wasn’t patrolled in any way so more fool us, we should have just moved without asking!
Goats were a great hit with the kids so a positive!

Lovely place to stay. River was perfect for the little one to play in and to have a swim.
Fishing wasn't very successful.
Clean facilities. Other campers were lovely, happy and whole site was nice to walk around and explore and play.

Didn't spend a great deal of time here but site was perfectly fine for us.
I would say it's a good site for kids and there were plenty of them all having a good time in the river.
Showers toilets all OK. Owners seemed fine very relaxed atmosphere.
I didn't get any food but thought the pizza oven coffee van and meat packages were a good idea

The river was only a few feet from our tent which was nice but its a but murky though.
Nothing really was nearby or a walk away so you need to drive for food or shops.
We were looking forward to the home cooked pizzas but unfortunately the owner was only cooking for his friends on the evening we wanted it.
But overall a enjoyable stay.
