Nice open site within easy walking distance of the town. Slightly dated amenities, but clean and usable.
Mostly seasonal campers but also space for occasional users.
Grass areas were very boggy, but the weather had been really wet and continued that way during my stay.
Right next to rugby field, friendly and helpful wardens.
Would visit again in the better weather.

Clean toilets, and site. Lot of hard standings, but we were on the grass next to a rugby pitch, which we think was better. EHU worked fine, no restrictions. Wifi pretty good, but we had poor tv reception, not that this mattered.
The Rugby Club alongside site have a very good bar and very reasonably priced food and drink. Sunday lunch was excellent, 3 good courses for £12. 50 incredibly good value. Not a lot to do in Llandovery, but a good stop over for 1 or 2 nights. Try to make it a Saturday/Sunday night so you can have lunch!
Very friendly site warden and staff at Rugby Club

Lovely site located within easy walking distance of the Town Centre. I initially had difficulty finding the site, could do with better road signage, also when approaching the site can be a bit confusing as to where the entrance actually was. The site managers were very friendly and helped locate our pitch. There are many seasoned pitches there, but I think on this particular site adds to its charm! Shower / toilet facilities are a bit dated but kept immaculately clean and very warm, which is an added bonus.
It's dog friendly with an area closed off for them to run about. I saw a play area for children to enjoy within safe distance of the caravans. There was a rugby match on at the time I stayed, which was within close proximity to the site, great if you are a fan. It gave a good atmosphere to the evening. There are lovely walks in and around Llandovery, some nice looking Pubs and shops, we found a well equipped grocery shop near by and were informed there was a larger supermarket again within walking distance.
All in all a lovely site with some friendly like minded people on site.

We like this site particularly this time of year as it is close to our home and there are not many other sites open. It is ideally situated for a weekend break with the benefit of a small town with plenty of pubs/restaurants. If you want to go further afield the train station is near with trains to Swansea or on the Heart of Wales Line to Shrewsbury. It also is only 30 minute drive to the outstanding Penyfan Mountain walk and surrounding Brecon National Park. Price wise it is reasonable with full amperage of electric. Easy access to site but not very well signposted on arriving at Llandovery. If you like Rugby this could be a bonus for you as the local Rugby Team could be playing at home and you could watch it from your window. They also have a local Rugby Club on site.

Basic not posh!site, with everything you need. Loo's are fine. Showers hot and free, bit of mould here and there in showers. Good dog play area. No hassle and cheap! Would return again. Lots of seasonal caravans here. Everyone very friendly.

A good location for the surrounding area. LLandovery is within walking distance and a lovely town, helpful at the tourist information shop, several pubs and shops, pet store etc.
The Site is well tended, there are a good number of caravans that appear to be static holiday homes, the downside is the wash/toilet facilities are quite unclean, the showers are powerful! There is an enclosed dog walking area, as the grass over the whole site is very well tended. The rugby club house is friendly and welcomes visitors, they also serve reasonable food and good beer. Some families did get a little noisy at times. Overall yes I would use it again.

We stayed the week-end Friday to Sunday. On entering Llandovery there wasn't a normal caravan and camping sign to tell us where to go, we knew the site was at Llandovery Rugby Club so we followed these directions. We eventually found signs for camping and caravanning. The site is really large and level, ideal for for children to play. The site seems to have a large amount of Seasonal pitches. The toilet facilities and showers were adequate. If you are travelling and pushed for time to get too a beach sites in West Wales this would be an ideal site to stop over. However, if you are using it as your base site the surrounding area has a lot to offer, with the town only a walking distance with lots of pubs, restaurant, take aways etc. , also you. , have the railway station, which is The Heart of Wales line where you could go to Swansea or Shrewsbury.

We phoned the owners at short notice to squeeze 3 tents onto the site with no notice. They were very helpful and told us where to pitch. It is a little odd to find as you have to drive down the side of the Llandovery rugby club pitch to get to it. There was Plenty of pitches as well as full time caravans parked up. It was a friendly site with many season caravan owners speaking to us. The toilets are very clean and showers are good. My only complaint was the auto dimmer goes off in the toilet after a few minutes leaving you stranded in the dark mid shower or toilet break (take your head torch). Llandovery town center is a few minutes drive. Grass is kept short and the site looks well maintained. We loved the site although there are no playing facilities for children other than grass spaces. I would use this again as an over night stop but not on a few days break with the kids. The owners charged us a very good rate and were happy that we left the money in an honesty box. Recommended as an over night camping stop. We were allowed a fire off the ground.

Visited this lovely site again for a week this year, took my campervan and tent combo this year, (Usually use just a tent and still paid less then half then at the Camping Caravan Club 15 miles up the road, that's why I closed my membership last year)
Now the site is at the Drovers Rugby Club site, which is accessed through a small clean Industrial estate road at the back end of Llandovery town, now don't let this put you off its not as it sounds, there is no noise etc, and you have no skinny roads to try and get your pride and joy through so access is a dream.
The site staff are nice people, friendly and easy to get on with, and there not bothering you every 5 minutes, which is a blessing!
Rugby Clubhouse next door which does food at a decent not 'Taking the micky' price which you are very welcome to visit.
Kids playground in the Club, electric hook ups throughout with loads of space between pitches.
Lovely clean showers and loos etc
Checkout the Town loads to see and do, many local sites to visit just check out some of the reviews on here.
I recommend this site and will return next year, give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Our first visit to this site & we will be back.
This is our second outing in our newly acquired motorhome. The location of this site is excellent, no small lanes to navigate through, just off the main road before you enter the town of Llandovery.
We arrived about 6pm on a dark & wet Friday evening and received a warm welcome from the Wardens whom guided us to our spot & gave us a selection of pitches. Poor chap stood there advising us of the facilities on site, directions for the walk into town, recommended pubs (seven in total) & directions to the local Co-Op whilst the heavens were raining down hard on him.
The pitch had a water tap, waste water drainage, electric points and was a hard standing. Whilst the site is near to the main road there is little noise from passing traffic.
On the site, which is dog friendly, there is a play ground for children, a superb block which has family bathrooms, disabled bathrooms, Ladies, Gents, washing up facilities & chemical toilet waste facilities. Behind this block is the recycling/rubbish area. These facilities are spotless, there are plenty of toilets, showers & basins. Plenty of hot water too.
There is a river which runs beside the site. This is a very tranquil spot with fantastic views you cannot help but sink into relax mode - perfect!
The Co-Op is literally a three minute walk from your pitch & is well stocked, the walk into town takes less than ten minutes.
On the walk into town you cross a small bridge with a river running beneath it, very pretty. There are plenty of places to eat, some of the pubs are both dog & child friendly.
We stopped at the Pengawse Tea Rooms where we received excellent customer service, the dogs even got a bowl of water brought out to them. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly, it was lovely to see the Chef walking amongst the customers, chatting & makings sure all were being looked after. I recommend a stop to sample this good food and service.
The local villagers and folks working in the shops were absolutely delightful, warm and friendly. There was not one shop we did not get a warm welcome in and passed the time of day with pleasant conversation and tips on what was around the locality.
In the town there are the ruins of Llandovery castle built in 1110, quite small but worth the visit, there is a large children's play ground behind the ruins with plenty of benches and lots to keep children amused.
There is a magnificent statue funded by the National Lottery of Llywelyn ap Gfuffydd Fychan. This was unveiled in 2001 and marks the place of his execution by King Henry IV who hung, drawn and quartered the chap for leading him on a wild goose chase under the pretence of leading the King and his men to a secret rebel camp to ambush Glyndwrs forces. The quarters of Llywelyn were salted and dispatched to other Welsh towns for public display.
There are plenty of shops in the village, crafts, antiques, charity, pet shop (lovely folks in there), general store and many pubs and eateries. For dog owners there is also a Vets in the village.
The site is embraced all around with beautiful scenery. There is a walk opposite the site, leave via the main entrance, turn left to the main road, at the main road turn right and then almost immediately left ascend up the hill via the style to the right of a big gate. This provides some wonderful views across Camarthenshire and is worth the walk.
There is no shop on site however we were advised the Wardens will readily lend camping equipment you may have forgotten to pack. As the Co-Op is less than a three minute walk and is very well stocked - not having a shop on site was fine.
We spent two very relaxing days here, very peaceful throughout the day and night. On our exit from the site we were again greeted very warmly by the Wardens and the owner.
Lovely site, warm welcome, very clean, tidy and excellent facilities. Lovely warm local folks in the village also, definitely one to return to, cannot recommend enough.
