Spent a week down there in august, very cheap at £14 a night a very well looked after campsite both sets of toilet`s and showers clean and tidy, and cleaned regular a big fenced off area for our dog to use for a good run around and a bin provided for the mess ten to fifteen min walk and you are up in the town with pubs, cafe`s, chipshops and many other local shops, a train station is there as well, looking forward to going back there for a weekend this year and more for next year

Liandovery caravan and camping park site is tucked away behind a small industrial site which you drive through to access the site, the site is next door to the 'Drovers' rugby ground and club which you pass on entering the site.
Do not let this put you off this gem of a site because this really is a fantastic site to camp at when your visiting Liandovery.
There are some static caravans there but it seems when talking to these owners once you find the 'Right' site why move elsewhere!
I am personnel fed up with ever rising site prices, so this year I left the Camping and Caravan Club for that very reason, so imagine how happy I was when the very helpful site manager charged me less then half I was used to paying per night. (£10 per night, £11 with hook up) how cheap is that?.
Excellent power showers (which can be hot so test first for the kids) all super clean and tidy blocks at either end of the site with good washing up facilities inside, and a kiddies playground on site as well.
As a bonus the stunning Red Kites where soaring above the site every day so take your camera!
I stayed over the May bank holiday and staying at the site gives you access to the club where you can book a meal at the bar, all the staff were very happy to serve you and very pleasant people I felt very welcome.
Excellent pubs, takeaways and cheap clean cafes in the town (Stone Street Cafe mega breakfast for £4 was amazing, but the West End Cafe was exspensive) cash points, bric a brac shops and 2 supermarkets, a ruined castle, cattle market and all the local services you could ever need.
I recommend a trip to the dam, take the Tregaron backroad from the foot of the dam road turn left at the sign saying scenic dam route and the views will stay with you for ever, so head for 'Rhandirmwyn' have lunch at the 'Royal Oak Pub' once you get there then stay on the same road to the dam, the 'Dinas bird walk' is on the way that's worth a walk round as well, but leave a good hour for the scenic route around the dam, beleive me all that will take a full day and you will have an amazing day out to remember!
There's also a swimming pool in Llandovery for the kids that's worth a visit as well.
All this and stunning scenery to boot you can't go wrong with this one I promise.
So thank you Drovers site and staff along with Llandovery town for a wonderful cheap holiday, that was so good a quick break turned into an excellent weeks holiday.
As a seasoned camper and caravanner of over 40 years I recommend Llandovery and this friendly, clean, cheap site to all.

Have just visited this site again, and they have now made a large confined dog walking area. Great to let the dog have a run without escaping. The showers have had a revamp and the site is well kept and pretty with it, s flower planters. There is also an office at the entrance to the site, so no need to go to the rugby club to book in. We have booked in for the Whitsun bank holiday, as the site fee of £12. 50p a night is very competitive, which includes electric. No need for the trudge to the nearest tap for water, as each power stand also has a tap (handy for early morning cuppa)

Been to this site on many occasions, and find it great as a base to explore Brecon beacons and surrounding areas. Pleasant 10-15 minute walk into Llandovery, good selection of small independent shops and takeaways.
Quiet site, even on match days. Warden is very friendly and approachable. There are a few long term caravans on site, but in all the times we have visited not all the caravans have been in use, and the ones that have been we have found friendly.
The shower blocks are clean and the water is always hot. There is a small play area for the children and a friendly clubhouse for the adults. Excellent value for money with or without electric.

Website video is very deceiving as it doesn't show what the site is really like. The site looks scruffy. Price was great 12.50 a night, no extra cost for dogs or kids like a lot of sites do. Dogs to be kept on a lead as you would expect. When I enquired over the phone, they told me there was something going on fri, sat & sun night at the club, when in fact there was nothing at all. The bar food was great, but not the Sunday dinner, meat was tough and Yorkshire pudding was cremated. Toilet block was clean and tidy shower was great. The town or village was close by, good variety of shops pubs cafes etc

I found this site as a last resort when some friends bought a caravan. Upon arrival this site just totally appealed and I have stayed on more sites that I care to remember.
Pricing is very reasonable and facilities are more than adequate, it is a camp site after all not a 5* hotel as some other reviewers clearly expect. If you have a dog with you there's even a fenced off area where you can let the dogs run free, such a nice change from having to keep them tied up all the time.
Suffice to say I've stayed on many weekends including when there's been a rugby match going on and have not had any problems whatsoever.
The site is clearly signed from the main road and the rugby club within 5 minute walk is great for drinks and food.
The town itself is good for a variety of shops, pubs and eating.
Highly recommended.

This site is quite tricky to find, it's on an industrial estate and you have to drive through the rugby club to access it.
We drove on, and drove straight off. I would not stay at this site. It wasn't really the site so much that was the problem, rather the quantity of caravans which seemed to be sited on a long-term basis which made the site look more like a 'travellers type site' than a holiday destination.
It just looked scruffy, and very different to the depiction on the site's website. Very disappointing. However, if you just want to be close to the centre of Llandovery, which is a lovely little place, then this site would be perfect. It's very handy for the town centre, being positioned just on the edge of Llandovery. Llandovery itself has some lovely little shops and nice placed to eat.

Stayed for 2 nights in August and it was really quiet. Pitched first, as not obvious where to book in. Reception was in the Rugby Club office and was very informal - which made a nice change!
There were no marked pitches, but the hook-up points made it obvious where to pitch around the rugby pitch.
There were 3 toilets and 3 showers for women which were very clean. The showers were really powerful, so be careful if you have small children.
Only one washing up sink (which was indoors), but not a problem because the site was so quiet (and mainly caravans).
No shop on site, but Llandovery an easy 20 minute walk, where there is a variety of shops and eating establishments.
This is a well-kept, no-frills site and great value at £8.00 (without electric).
The surrounding area is beautiful. Places to visit include Llyn Brianne, RSPB reserve (Dinas) and Myddfai. The Heart of Wales railway provides a good day out too.

We stayed here for a few nights to meet up with friends who were staying close by.
The camping was around the rugby pitches so was nice and flat. Toilet / shower facilities were a bit basic but good enough.
The manager was approachable and very helpful. He let us set up in peace and then came over to check we were ok. We could camp anywere we wanted as long as it wasn't on the pitch itself.
Prices were extremely reasonable - we paid £10 per night for a tent with hook up.
Llandovery was a few minutes walk, and had a good selection of shops and pubs.
We had a very enjoyable time and would go back again.

Oh dear, looking at their website it claims to be 'one of the best campsites in wales' I'd hate to see the worst. Basically a semi circular plot around some rugby pitches, with a main (noisy) road to the south and a railway track to the north, nowhere really to walk a dog which is a shame as it is surrounded by countryside but you can't get at it.
Booking office is a small caravan at the entrance to site, elsan points have no fresh water and toilet block was not particularly clean. Good points, plenty of electric hook-ups and cheap @ 12. 50 per night.
