 Great, helpful reception staff.
Shower block a little basic but very clean and plenty of hot water.
Fantastic location, castle and hill views.
Lauder a short pleasant walk away with good beer and food( lasagne!) superb.
Great mill towns a short drive away and Southern Uplands.
Locharron kilt makers a fab visitor day out at Selkirk.

Brilliant site.
The rally field was perfect for us although the toilet /shower facilities were a good walking distance.
It was a short distance by foot to the town which was ideal.
A dog friendly site with great walks nearby.
Will return soon.

Lovely wee site, well kept, has statics tenting area and touring area.
Wardens friendly, lots of nice walking adjacent to site and short walk into town where there are two places you can get a meal also premier store, cafes, butchers, post office bakers etc.
Refurbished toilet block, cleaned daily however at busy times can get dirty but that is a reflection on some of users rather than the site itself!
There is a laundry but only has one washing machine and one drier which is really inadequate for the size of the site, especially in busy times, also no ironing facilities. Also a hairdryer in the toilet block would be handy especially for the campers.
There are two sinks for dishwashing with a overhead covered area and unless demand has been great, loads of hot water.
Also has a small play park.

Lovely site.
Well kept grounds and excellent clean facilities.
Helpful owners, very responsive to booking queries and a friendly welcome in the office.

Easy to find site, good facilities. Friendly welcome. Good sized pitches. Great walks directly from site.
Castle close by.
Few shops, pub, chippy in village. Lots of rabbits to watch for our dogs.
Lovely scenery. River walk or fields.
Village five minute stroll.

We used just for a one night stopover.
Big site which has statics and what seems to be mainly seasonal pitches. There are several tourer pitches, hardstanding and all together which we liked.
Shower block immaculate, heated, plenty of hot water and looked as if had a recent refit. Washing up under cover and a laundry room.
Wardens super helpful, nothing to much trouble for them. We changed bookings twice and they were great (thank you).
Loved the footpaths around the castle (even when castle closed there are great walks in the grounds.
Village is an easy 5 minutes walk from the end of the site on the pavement, butchers, bakers, coop, cafe etc etc.
Would recommend as at £24 including showers and electric it's a bargain and the castle and village are an added bonus.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times when competing my dogs locally.
Love the walks from the site.
This year I was especially impressed with the shower block.
Specious compartments, a lovely thoughtful touch of a curtain behind the cubical door to protect clothing etc from getting wet 👏 really hot unlimited water at all times.
Also really easy access to fill up water tank in camper van.
A big plus for me as well was the grass is cut with NO most annoying short cut bits being left that are on most sites and always a night mare with myself and dogs trailing into the camper.
All around weldone Lauder campsite. You certainly get my vote

Really nice campsite. Although I would say that it is mainly set up for statics and caravans the campsite part is really flat and well set out with specific pitches, which is something we like.
The toilet block was clean, spacious and well looked after. They are a reasonable walk from the camping field (though we have stayed at places with much longer walks. You pay extra for showers.
There's nice views from the site and nice walks around the area as well as it being a good location for exploring the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.
The town of Lauder has a few shops and some cafes and a couple of pubs so there are decent amenities very close.
The park has a nice little play park on it and as when we stopped was outside of the Scottish school holidays our kids had plenty of space to play. There is also a good playground in Lauder itself though it is a little but hidden away.
The price was very good too. We would recommend stopping here and would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

We chose this site while looking for somewhere to stay within reasonable distance of Edinburgh Zoo. We were really surprised by how reasonably priced it was, around half the price of others.
However the quality of the site was not compromised. We stayed in the last week of the English school holidays so the site was quiet.
The majority of the site is caravans, and the tent field is separate with around 20 pitches. It’s well laid out as each pitch is separated by young conifers.
The view from the field was pleasant with fields, hills and forest. The facilities were very clean, with the ladies being heated with 3 spacious hot free showers.
The mens had 3 showers also. There is also a lovely children’s playground next to the tent field.
The water for washing up was also very hot.
The toilets from the tent field is quite a walk, but this wasn’t an issue for us.
The site is within a village so a Co-Op and places to eat are easily accessible.
We would happily stay again, especially for the price.

Wasn't due till 2pm, arrived 11am not a problem to them, they sorted our sight pitch quickly.
Pitch was overly sized fitted 6 man tent and car at pitch easily.
Facilities on site awesome,
All staff very friendly and helpful.
This site is a must as price unbelievably cheap for the service they provide,
Can't wait to book here again shaun and jorgi tate
