Great location for a midway stop off. I stayed here for 2 nights with the dog.

The site is in a great place if travelling up or down the country, easy to access off the M1.

Nicely located next to the country park with plenty of dog walks.

Lots of places to visit within a half hour or so drive.

Great facilities.

A shower for the dog near the site entrance and although near to lots of industrial units and houses, still nice and quiet.

We stayed on this site as a stop over on our journey, and were pleasantly surprised. Although the site is just a hop from the motorway and very easy to find, it was like being in another world altogether and we weren't aware of any traffic noise.

The site staff checked us in with a friendly smile and a chat, and the pitch was large, level and peaceful. The facilities were clean and of the usual high CAMC standard.

There is a pleasant stroll round the lake right next to the site - lots of water birds which are obviously used to tourists feeding them as they sail over expectantly whenever you stop to admire the view. We arrived too late to try the cafe by the lake, but noted lots of outdoor seating and picnic tables there along with play areas, and there are benches dotted around the lake too.

There are also well marked trails through the wooded areas, along with a walking route into Staveley itself. Staveley looks a bit run down, but is handy for stocking up on groceries. You'll find a fish and chip shop and a pizza place in the pedestrian area just before you get to Morrisons.

I think this site would be a lovely for a longer stay in summer, and plan to visit again.

Lovely wardens and clean and tidy site.

Flexibility in pitching.

A group of travellers using the site as a base - all gathered at one end.

Some noise from the park - mostly dogs in the day, motorbikes at night.

Staveley is not particularly nice as a town centre but has a good supermarket.

Lots of great walks from the site.

No play area but a great play area by the lake - a short walk away.

Stayed for the weekend primarily to do the parkrun which is just a short walk from site.

A lovely laid out site with the usual great facilities and friendly Staff. Easy access and only 10 minutes from M1.

Did a small Bike ride along the TPT and on the canal tow path towards Chesterfield.

Site was fairly busy but not packed. Never a problem in toilets / showers.

We Paid £72 for two nights which is more than we'd usually pay.

Very nicely laid out site, well kept with excellent facilities. The location is in a country park with 3 lakes on the site of a closed coal mine I think.

The wardens do a great job on the site it looks great and is very clean.

Locally there is a Canal with a good tow path that goes to Chesterfield and also a good cycle track to the Other Valley.

Location is nice but entry is via an industrial estate.

Just a quick overnight stop as very convenient from motorway. A lovely welcome from wardens.

Nice sized pitches and good clean toilet facilities.

Had a quick peep at the lake in the morning which is adjacent to the site.

Will definitely return and stay a bit longer next time.

Large pitches, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful,

We arrived early but if was not long after before we where allowed to book in which was great,

Shower block clean and large cubicles, excellent idea to have it working by key entrance only,

Wish more sites would operate this,

Would stay there again.

Right within Pools Brook Country Park with café, several lakes and woods - all pretty nice, but with large pylons running through, and a feel of a post-industrial site only recently reclaimed. Will mature nicely.

Close to Rother Valley and an old railway line for cycling. Site is nicely landscaped and laid out, medium sized, well run and good.

Managed a great walk at Linacre Reservoirs from the Peacock pub at Cutthorpe, with lovely meal afterwards.

Outside but fine on the Sunday. Enjoyable walk around lakes and woodlnad, with feeling there was more to see, though no maps either on boards or online to see the best routes or paths by.

The info at site looked like it had more and if we had more time.

Just off the M1, this site has some road noise. Well laid out site with mostly gravel pitches.

Facilities block is modern and spotlessly clean.

Next to a small country park and a bus ride from Chesterfield, or a 4. 5 mile walk.

First visit but wouldn't hesitate in returning. Site is very well kept and facilities were spotless. Helpful site wardens.

Covid restrictions were reassuring and didn't impinge on our enjoyment.

Great location for exploring especially cycling on the Trans Pennine Way.

Pizza van visited on Friday evening which very good.

Small herb garden on site provided fresh ingredients for an omelette.
